    Morning Folks to all around the World viewing this !! im not exactly a "New member" but have been here on and off for a few years , in the last few years i have sadly been away from the hobby but in these trying times find i would like to restart my hobby again.Very out of practice but very willing to jump back in again. Hope some of my old friends are still around and looking forward to making some new ones !! "Dave"

    Hi there The pics are not too clear from what i can see have you sanded the hull yet ?.if not give it a light sand and remove as much dust as you can .if you have a small air gun even better to use that.Take the second layer planking and lay horizontaly across the hull moving it say from the top of the hull downwards making sure it is in close contact to the hull but allowing you to see any hollows below it or if the hull moves the plank outwards to indicate a hill.Mark any deviations with pencil and sand down or fill that area.Hope that part helps you ! The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.

The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build.
