Omega1234 got a reaction from ggrieco in Majellan by Omega1234 - FINISHED - 1/200 - Luxury 37 m Motor Yacht - Miniature
Hi everyone
Many thanks for all of your Likes and comments!
Well, so far, I've managed to give the jet skis and the engine their first coat of paint. I'm a bit disappointed about the quality of the first coat of paint because I'm using an old brush, which isn't the best for fine painting. I'll need to buy a new one before I paint anything else.
I've also started on the starboard engine, which remains unpainted. There's still lots of work to go, of course.
Here're the photos below.
All the best!

Omega1234 got a reaction from Moxis in Clara May by Moxis - FINISHED - 1/48 scale - ketch - after David McGregor plans
Hi Matti
You're most welcomed and deserving of the compliments and Likes! She looks great.
A case would be a good idea, but, like you said it all depends on its location.
All the best

What, how, when???? Matti, you've finished her already? I blink my eyes for one minute and look what happens.....
In all seriousness, I have to say that you've done one hell of a brilliant job! Are you also building a case to protect her?
Lastly, yes, I'm also looking forward to your next subject.
Cheers

Omega1234 got a reaction from canoe21 in Majellan by Omega1234 - FINISHED - 1/200 - Luxury 37 m Motor Yacht - Miniature
Hi everyone
Hope you're all well. Progress has been slow this week, but I thought I'd show where I'm at with Majellan.
The superstructure's painting and puttying continues, whilst I chase the glass smooth finish that I'm after. I've also started work on the forepeak where the winches and other associated deck furniture will be stored. The rear garage door and staircases haven't been touched since last week, so there's still lots of work to go before the stern is finished.
Please see the photos below.
Enjoy your weekends!
Cheers

Omega1234 got a reaction from IgorSky in Lady Nelson by Leo-zd - 1:119 - SMALL
I know, Leo. We're always our own worst critics. If only we could just sit back and be proud instead of critical, I'm sure it make us all much happier.
But, please keep up the great work because I'm loving your ship.
Cheers

Omega1234 got a reaction from popeye the sailor in Mechanical Solar System by jim_smits - Eaglemoss
Hi Jim
Very nice! Have you given any thought as to how you're going to display her? I'm thinking in a large blacked out cabinet with some strategically placed overhead lights to highlight the beauty of the whole structure (my thoughts only, of course).
Cheers

Thank You, Jon, The key to a good finish is going slow, taking your time to make sure the prep( mostly sanding ) is smooth
Thank You, Patrick, It's not sad at all, The fun for me is building them, so if I can sell a few here and there it helps finance future builds, I mostly end up giving them to friends and family
Best Regards,
Pete
