  5. Very clever mate - tell you what if you hadn't pointed then out one could not tell - what a great place to hide them, that is looking so sweet mate - take it easy with the PE sections for the bulwark side piece infront and around the 4.5in guns as they are so delicate - they do look superb when done though. OC.
  6. What a great idea - is it a similar theory to what I do by using a hairdryer? OC.
  7. That is Brilliant work mate - she is looking superb, let me take a guess where you cut the front part of the deck - where the front breakwater goes? that would be the same place I cut mine at for the same reason. OC.
  8. Excellent work my friend - and with the rear artwork - amazing work. OC.
  9. I think as long as the paint layers are thin they should still move - might also need a little bit of a "wiggle" to free them up a bit. OC.
  10. Brother sounds good to me - we will leave the most difficult paint job to yeah - cuz we luv yeah bro. OC.
  11. You could get a pair of these Ken, they come with slot in glasses of different strenths oh and a built in light from LED's. OC.
  12. I have memorised some of the reporting points near to me but I also use aircraft apps like - https://www.adsbexchange.com/ https://planefinder.net/ They are great for tracking aircraft. OC.
  13. That would be cool perhaps we could do the Three main colour versions - the sand - the european Three colour and the overall Nato Green version (I was tempted to do the Nato Green one) - I have this one -
  14. Hope you get your op done on Monday and get a speedy recovery Ken, I will follow with great interest whne you can start the Abrams beast. OC.
  15. @Egilman Thank you kindly brother - should look quite impressive when its all together and flat coated. OC.
  16. Indeed mate - mine lifted from the glue under the peel back strip - in a few areas, I had to apply some force and use heat of a hairdryer to get it to stick back down, seamed to be around obstructions that was the worst. OC.
  17. I have a portable radio scanner - got a few of my local frequencies dialed in - so I get familer with the local waypoints gives me a good indication if a certain plane is going to come close to me for my spotting/photography. On my lens mate - the lens is a 300.. prime its the Nikon 300 PF lens I have a 1.4 X convertor attached giving me a combined length of 420mm quite good for planes on airways with a bit of cropping. OC.
  18. Excellent work Kevin, I dont know the ship very well - but you sure are making a lovely job of her. OC.
  19. You have done an excellent job with the deck - I actually considered doing the same as you have done - as I read some reports in some cases of the glue under the peel off sometimes lifting and un gluing slightly (it happened to me in a few areas with mine). Looking really nice mate. OC.
  20. I hear them (commercial aircraft) still using way points for thier routings but guess these are programed into their GPS units these days. OC.
  21. Inded mate - after I have the exact length by testing aroundf the running gear - I will then do an over all sand/alum colour for the links mainly, then I will pick out the treads with Nato Black then they will have a couple of washes and finished off with some dry brushing. They should be this kind of colour before weathering - OC.
