  1. Evening all, firstly we took or poorly princess to have her post op check up - all absolutely fine she is healing very well - next appointment next wed. This eve I was able to do a bit more on the tracks - I painted the inner treads with the same Nato Black then it was wash/weathering time - the idea is to make them look quite dusty from off and on road use, after I was able to feed it along the wheels then attach the last link before attaching the rear drive sprocket. I think it turned out ok - certainly dusty. OC.
  2. Another Superb piece of artwork in the making - will follow along again mate. OC.
  3. Hi Ken, its a 50/50 mix of Tamiya Acrylic XF60 Dark Yellow and Tamiya Acrylic XF16 Flat Aluminium just mixed then applied by brush. OC.
  4. Thank you kindly brother - got a wee bit more to do to it yet - with inner treads and weathering of dark wash and highlighting. OC.
  5. Evening all progress both with our little princess and the Chally - firstly our pooch - she is doing well had a quite night sleeping on the sofa as she can't manage stairs yet so she is sleeping with her mum, she is eating and drinking water - taking here to have her post op check out tomorrow. I Manaaged a few hours on the bench this eve after get both of the ladies watered and fed - I countinued with the track - these have had a sandy/alum paint ot the liks - this seemed to take ages, after this was finished it was turn of the treads - again lots of tedious work with a couple of coats of Nato Black (almost a dark grey) - I still have the inner track treads to do. OC.
  6. You are doing an Amazing job Mark - and a superb rescue of the frontal grating - she is seriously looking Superb. OC.
  7. Currently watching QUEST on the tv all about tanks tonight - very interesting. OC.
  8. They are also getting dangerous - where we live dog walkers have been advised to go out in Two's as thieves have been pulling knives on people to steal dogs - the admiral wont go out now till I am with her. OC.
  9. Indeed Ken - I understand having the op done is supposed to benefit thier long term health, and we would never want her to have pups, ontop of that there is a wave of dog thefts in the Uk due to the price of them and also gangs steal them to have puppies where thay them make money from selling the pups - its a Huge concern over here. OC.
  10. Thanks Mark, we have to go back on Friday so they can check her over, we are sleeping down stairs for the next few nights - I do the night shirt and will go to bed in the morning, that way we are both on duty for little mis princess. OC.
  11. Hi all, our baby is home she is sore but under pain relief, she has a surgcal vest on her to protect the wound, she has to keep to the house and garden for the next Ten days - the op went really well - hopeful for a speedy recovery. OC.
  12. Evening all, I continued on the track on the one side - I measured the runs so far against the wheels and worked out how many are needed to Fit - I counted Ten more links - so back on the template tool and Ten more were knocked out (quite easy once you have a rhythm going) I had to stop at that point as they can not be joined together as they need to slide in position then joined. So I decided to start the paint process - Instead of doing a washy paint all over first I decided to go the careful route of just picking out the links and side pieces with a sandy flat alum colour - this was carefully brushed on to the centre run then both edges on the inside, I will mix some more paint tomorrow. It will be a good detraction from worrying as our little pooch goes into the vets tomorrow to be neutered in the morning she is 4 so we feel its a good time as we do not want her having puppies and I understand it has plenty of health benefits for female dogs. We will be worried about our baby though. OC.
  13. Upssss.....poor eyesight again - or not concentrating - possibly both 🙃 OC.
  14. Chaps @Canute @Egilman I have found these colour plates for the M1's on the net - they show our Three chosen colours. OC.
  15. Thanks for looking in Phil - tell me about it - hopefully second time lucky. OC.
  16. Sounds like you have fallen on something really useful there mate. OC.
  17. Very clever mate - tell you what if you hadn't pointed then out one could not tell - what a great place to hide them, that is looking so sweet mate - take it easy with the PE sections for the bulwark side piece infront and around the 4.5in guns as they are so delicate - they do look superb when done though. OC.
  18. What a great idea - is it a similar theory to what I do by using a hairdryer? OC.
  19. That is Brilliant work mate - she is looking superb, let me take a guess where you cut the front part of the deck - where the front breakwater goes? that would be the same place I cut mine at for the same reason. OC.
