So next job will be to reach into my dio and fit the doors - then I will carry on with my figures - still not sure if I should add more 5th KGL (Red jackets) as in fairness there was far less of these as only One squadron was sent down compared to Four-Five of the Green jacket 1st and 2nd KGL Light. OC.

Evening all, no actual movement (I have been lazy lol) I have let my doors level as the paper was curving upwards due to the paint, so I have some weight on them to get them flat again, and the Cuirassiers are just chilling waiting for the washes, and a couple more French are waiting for more paint. I have some odds and sods that I could try to make up - some 5th KGL (Red Jackets) and some bits of equipent - backpacks, Shakos, Rifles etc that I will make up to be scattered on the ground in various areas . Place the chain then paint the damn thing Harry - its what my attaitude would be - treat it in place and do some paint shades and washes over it - Im sure it would behave - just needs a bit of time but atleast you would be able to work on it rather than waiting for stuff to arrive. Hey I can talk - look at my figure painting... OC.

Evening all, I have started the orchard doors - I started off by sizing them up then I sat Two pieces of paper together then after marking the size - I cut through both pieces with my blade, next I squared up some thin wood stock and worked out the correct width and trimed away with my blade, a little sand then both edges where cut to length along with the top rail, I then fitted them on the paper square with the edges. I then I cut some paper strips for the planks on the long runs, these where cut the same width then glued down with a slight gap, next was the cross support planks - again these where cut to size and glued on. The bottoms where trimmed on the one door - still needs doing to the other. OC.

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
