  1. My work flow is to work in areas like the front road/entrance and add figures there, then move into the orchard - make some trees then start to populate the orchard with French, and add some more (more French will need to be made/painted) to the roadway. OC.
  2. Indeed Ken, one of the fighters there in the 2nd KGL who I will also represent is called Rifleman Friedrich Lindau, he fought bravely during the defence even being shot in the head but still carried on. OC.
  3. I think All card/paper builders are magicians to be able to turn a sheet of drawings into a 3D piece of art. OC.
  4. Thank you kindly Alan, the trouble is when I put my largest magnifiers lens in - I can see the flaws in my painting (guess we all feel the same) but when they wil be viewed under normal conditions they are ok. OC.
  5. Evening all, so this batch is complete apart from a spray of flat top coat then they will be cut away from their bases and glued onto the roadway. OC.
  6. Thank You for looking in and taking the time to comment, yep I think a lot of us remember do war battles - especially the Airfix 72nd scale ones. So glad you like what I am doing with this dio. OC.
  7. Indeed Edward, there will be a pile up of dead near the barn entrance - from the heavy fire from the KGL inside the barn, and the others around the other sides of LHS. OC.
  8. So good to see you back on this brother, its a Fantastic build and your commitment to it speaks volumes, and yes our eye sight is a pain in the harris, same with me two eyes that cant make up there mind one long vision and hazy and the other short vision and rubbish - so it means even with glasses at least one eye is always out of focus... OC.
  9. I have left them a note asking Mark - be good if they do, they look excellent don't they? OC.
  10. Just a small update - as there will be quite a few dead and wondead over the dio, I have a few sorted out already - but I saw thses 3D British ones and couldn't resist getting them - they look realy crisp ans will fit in well once painted/weathered up. OC.
  11. Thank you Alan, I still have the actual uniform to do yet and the other bits - but it seems to work this way. OC.
  12. Evening all, more work (with pics) haversack and straps done, the guys head hanky - done, shakos detailed, cloth hat painted then some washes. OC.
  13. Been doing a bit of research as a few of my figures in the 2nd KGL have bandana's or head cloths - I did nornal asking around reinactors and historians and it seems like they were worn under the shakos or soft caps to cushion them - so the few I have just wearing thease head cloths are because they have lost their shakos. OC.
  14. Just look at the scale and size of it folks - some Superb engineering going into this. OC.
  15. Evening all, I did a bit more today - not worthy of a photo, I have started painting the details starting with the water bottle belts and Black rifle rounds bag straps. OC.
  16. Super fine work you are doing there brother - top notch work. Just adding to what the rest of the family have said - best wishes for a safe procedure and a fantastic recovery - I understand these procedures are like MOT's for cars - very common and done in the thousands. Just be careful if they want to do an oil change on you lol. OC.
