Good evening everyone the wood arrives tomorrow, so i will be away from the build until the cabinet is up and running, i have two weeks to get it done, and i have have changed my mind so many times on how to do it, i dont have a way ahead the acrylic sheets arrived at the weekend, broken, they are being replaced and i have been told to keep them and dispose of or use as i see fit sized 900x1800, possible 1/5 has been lost, so i will be making good use of them

i was building this and just got bored with it, it now sits on the shelf of doom, i presume it is because i could not live upto the standards i was following by @Toolmaker, and the pure dread that i would have to break out the airbrush

Good morning everyone planning for the display area is still ongoing it seams i will have a area approx 2.3m x 1m x 2.3 so some of the larger vessels like the st Nectan will have to be displayed at an angle yesterday i learnt how to use the @Alexey Domanoff rope maker and have now started to get some nice results, using Guttermans Mara threads and serpia ink its attached to one of the roof beams, i will try for a better photo im using 4 sizes of thread 30, 70, 100, and 120 ( 30 is the largest i have) im using 4 sizes of thread 30, 70, 100, and 120 ( 30 is the largest i have) and some of the results including using some of the many different kit ropes i have

good evening everyone over the last week i have been ensuring everything fits and works as it is meant to,ie that most of the brackets and blocks etc will be in the right place so yesterday i salvaged the chains, painted them and set them in place, they look ok to me, time will tell if they are actually where they need to be over the next week i am going to plan the new display area in the garage and learn to use the @Alexey Domanoff rope walk

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
