It's no Tamyia EG but the Quinta decals did the what I needed for the pit I am going for aesthetics to the viewer from the outside.I would like to see ICM do a P-51 in 1/32 I figure they could hit the market @ $80/100 and be almost as good as a Tamy?

I am thinking it will look like a P-51and hopefully a pretty one.The fit of the fuselage halves was really Quite Nice for Trumpeter kit a little scraping and then some 600 stick work.

This has to be one of my Favorite paint scheme's out there for a P-51 I have integrated the Quinta P-51 for Tamiya as best I can it looks okay no Tamyia for sure but it will do.The IP worked out great the rest......?I am not going to have the gun bays open(?) and the engine was crap it's already in the trash I am going for aesthetics overall.So far the fuselage fit together great w/o that engine now.

Thks Dan had a small snafu while doing the clear coat said let it rest a bit moved back to the Trump P-51 installing the Quinta decals for the pit ATTM.

Some pics of the paint guys and I have taken some liberties.The leather and metal band(steel) they would have you leave it all Azure Blue.The cowling was suppose to be steel went Aluminum Alclad .I am about to embark on looking for more pics for the final paint(small stuff) as far as wethering just some accented panels and a little more.Blades will be deployed. I hope this works that Helo part of you Lou almost got a Huey today may still at 40% off at HL.

I thought I throw up some pics before I close her up today not the greatest pics either but Photography is not my major The decals for the IPs were individual made the lenses out of Future about three layers.The kit though not complicated like Craig's tank thus far has been a nice kit with the right amount of PE parts in my opinion.The final product will be the depiction on the boxart the most colorful.

Thks Dan a long build for me but it paid off in the end ICM kits are Nice! Oh Dan as to the clear parts I attached them first for good adhesion then with a q-tip slightly damp I coated the clear parts with Future.

Working on the Auto-gyro now Craig doing the French Navy scheme when I get further along will post pics just started last night.

Looking good Craig but as to the tracks what you are doing should work smaller tip glue applicator/brush?RFM gives the builder a jig to assemble the tracks my armor experience is pretty limited. -
Thks Mark it's only my second build in thirty years of the He-111 out of 250 built. You are correct Yves about the variety of kits they are producing/quality I think ICM is fast approaching Tamyia standards in the future for me it will be Revell of Germany,ICM or Eduard.Which leads me to the next project(s) is it the Eduard Mustangs(3)?I have an affliction for ReCon crates.

Thks Craig I have a deep affinity to ICM kits now they are a joy to build.A little feature the wing tip lights have a long extension that fits into the wing being clear of course you paint that part and the color goes to the lens.I thought it was kind of neat . Thks Ken.

Thks Craig I just about had a small flub when reglueing the top piece some glue oozed out made it a little glossy when to go hit with a brush/flat clear will .... the brush must on been dingy So out came the Africa 1942 color had pastels at the ready a light touch of paint and before it could even think about drying on went the pastels it's working called it quits for the night.
