Outstanding paintjob! To buff the painted area use 6000 grit and water then with feather weight pressure get that shine!

Hi Ric, and a warm welcome to MSW. Syren as mentioned is probably one of the more popular models to build.
I also have one going.

Nice work Per
Those things are almost impossible to get built let alone make them look right! It seems you did both in 47 seconds!
Lou,
I am using ACDsee Video Studio to create the time lapse. It's fun and also takes you through the build in another way.
But building it in 47 seconds..... not really rather 7 days, including long breaks.😄- Ryland Craze, Canute and mtaylor

Oh my, that's coming together very nicely. You really got the crew to look natural.

The paint job on my yacht wasn't done by me, I had an auto body shop with paint both doing it for 50 dollars excluding the cost of primer, paint and clear coating.
I couldn't have done that nice job myself.
That being said, using Krylon spray can product shows that you are really good at painting.

Jim,
Very nice build log.
What's next to build? -
Hi Uwe, and a warm welcome to MSW, we do have a gallery where you can post your finished models.
Finished models are being rotated at the top-bar. So, please upload them and describe models, any story around them - but no build logs, thank you.
Start a build log of your current ship and when running into troubles start asking questions, we are here to help.- mtaylor and Ryland Craze

Hi guys,
My buildlog of the Diana by Occre is gone. I can't find it anymore. I didn't delete it. Any advice??
Grtz
Kyak,
We are so sorry that your log got accidentally deleted, we have moved and tagged thousands of build logs.
Any deletion is pure accidental, not on purpose.Again, we are sorry for this mistake.

Hi Michael,
We have re-organized the build forums to it's easier to build logs, now it's categorized by time-era.
I found your log and saw you haven't posted anything since the painting of the hull. Just checking in and hoping to see an update.
Enjoy your summer. -
Henke,
Just checking in with you and the progress of HMS Hood.
I know the summer is killing warm in Sweden, my native country. And you might enjoying time out on the water rather than the workshop.Enjoy your summer and we are all curious about the diorama.

Hej ubjs, welcome to our world and nice start of Danmark.
You are one of very few building Danmark, so your build log will be an asset for our build log bank.
One of the kits on my shelf waiting to build Danmark. So I am looking forward to follow along with yours.I see a section build in the background, please let us know more about it and start a build log of it as well.

David, my hat off to you and your great looking Bluenose, she is a beauty and easy to build. Even though mine has stalled for the moment.
I really like what you did regarding the deadeyes. -

Very nice with the planking.
There's a varnish called "Captain's Varnish" that will really highlight the wood. It is intended for real boats.- Louie da fly and LMDAVE

Bob, you have done a fantastic job with airbrushing.
I have only used Vallejo paint so regarding other brands I have no clue how they are in comparison.
However, when I airbrushed Bluenose, which was my first attempt I was surprised of how well the Vallejo covered the area.I think the pigmentation in that brand is higher than any other.
When you are to get the waterline in place, which I found was tricky before I realized there is a trick.
The trick is to use a laser levels self-leveling, place tick mark along that line and it should make it easier.

Rob, I just read through your build log and you are doing a great job with such complex ship like Victory.
I would also like to invite you to our local Puget Sound Ship Model club.Hopefully once the Covid-19 is allowing us to get together again we will start up with our monthly meetings.
It's run by Floyd who also is part of MSW.If you are interested send me a pm and I will provide you with contact info.
Keep modelling!

Thank you Bill and Louie, for stepping up and helping with good recommendations when it comes the restoration. It's not easy when seeing the ship only by pictures. This is what Modelshipworld is about.
