Dave, I have faith in you. You will finish your Bluenose before me. I also have ideas of scratch building.

Okay Hank, now you are making me miserable, you mentioning smoked brisket and then posting picture of what is to be a wonderful workshop!

Dave, thanks that's what I did with my solid piece.
-
Oh, stupid question, how did you work out the curvature between main cabin and deck?
-
Dave,
Your deck furniture is looking so much better than mine, I might reconsider my idea of creating them.
-
I figured out how to do this, hopefully the video clip will work at your end too. Did a test prior uploading, and it worked on my side.

When it comes to paint, I use satin finish.
That's both on walls and ceiling.
And I would have done just like Hank, use what I have. Paint ain't cheap.
In my workshop, one gallon of primer/paint cost 24 dollars. That was the cheapest they had.

Not really on this day, but the battleship USS Nevada was found last Monday, May 11 2020.
She is laying at a depth of 15400 feet.
Click the link and it will take you to the article. -
Belaying pins in place.
Have to change the format of the video, so it's playable. Coming soon.
Update with video.

@rexnuktiaor may I call you Rex?
Anyway, a warm welcome to MSW, I have never build any Master Korabel but found your build log intriguing. That is small yawl.
If this is your first wood model kit you are doing great.
Personally I would have never started with such a small model.Looking forward to follow your log.

Thanks for the warm welcome! First forum I've been on where people are literally from all point on the globe. Pretty cool. Yes Jim, I realized much too late that the nails are out of scale, and there were better ways to do this. I had the hull done before I found the post with the .05 pencil lead inserts. I really like that look. I recently read Chuck's "beginner" thread. I of course wanted to start a Bark next, but my experience with this build and Chuck's sage advice suggests that the 18th century Longboat may be a wiser choice. I would get a chance to use that pencil lead technique. I do have a question, how does one tie the peak halyard to the center of the line that runs on top of the gaff from one end to the other? It looks like a seamless attachment with no knot, so I suspect there is a special technique.
The 18th century longboat is a great choice, delicate in size but so much fun to build.
The Medway from Chuck directly is another choice. I have to many to build so that one is out of the question for me.

I will definitely follow this build.

Lots of experimenting. Looks fantastic!

With a proper setup (photowise) you can fool anyone with these pictures.
How did you accomplish ionization on the exhaust system? That looks so real. -
I just love the detailing to this motorcycle. The dent in the tank to the turn signal that is being held into place with tape.
The instrument panel looks so real, is it just a low milage or has the numbers gone one whole turn?
If you wouldn't have had any items in the background to relate the scale I would had thought it was a real bike.- popeye the sailor, Egilman, Canute and 4 others

I have been looking at this model from Tamiya many times and been considering to get it.
I am a Honda rider, 750 Honda Shadow Spirit from 2007. Love the bike so that is one of the reasons of maybe buying this kit.
Again, you are an amazing job with the weathering of details. Looking forward to see the final bike.
Are you to make the saddle soft?

I just told them, get to your positions and get in 😂.
It's a simple photo trick everyone can do. I used ACDSee video software to create the sequence. Each move is one frame, then it's just a matter of time of display for the frame. It's a fun feature.
I can create a tutorial if someone wants to know how I did it. I won't say mine is the best, but it was my first try.
