Hey, everybody!
More than a year ago I started another project.
Today it is almost finished, but I will tell you more about the construction process.

Okay, so, uh I could not use my familiar technology of making the hull of the model for some of my future projects, so I decided to try another technology. For this, more year ago I decided to make a simple project just to learn and test this technology.
I think you remember how Jack Sparrow appears at the beginning of the movie "Pirates of the Caribbean". This is the moment I chose for my training project.
First I made a few screenshots

So, then I cut through the grooves for the frames. I made frames using double slats 0.5 mm thick. I stuck the frames only to the bottom plate of the above-water part of the hull.

Then I wrapped the parts of the template with a thin film. I also drew a line for the first plank of the boat board.

Then I continued to work on the edges and the surface, so that the parts of the boat fit tightly together. Also I added intermediate frames and gunwale.

Igor, it’s So great to watch your work unfold! Really a pleasure!!

My favorite pieces are the tiny belaying pins,  and the top of the crows nest - a perfect tiny circle in wood. Can’t be easy to do!

Many thanks, Josh!
In fact, it wasn't very difficult to make these details. :)

Working with small elements

The next important step is turning the figure into Jack. I did not have any experience with figures, so I decided to improvise :)
