At that scale almost indistinguishable from the real thing !

These 'basket' valve handles are interesting. I gather the design was chosen to maximise grip, while minimising mass and, hence, heat transmission - although there shouldn't be any heat in a compressed air loco. Perhaps cold, as the pipe-work certainly would cool down in operation ?

For grip, the mass is insufficient to store any heat whatsoever so in a very hot environment they would radiate heat quickly...

Compressed air picks up heat when it is compressed as does most compressed gases... Allowed to normalize temp in the surrounding environment, its very temperature stable....  although a quick de-pressurization would condense any water in the air.... Pressure drops gasses get colder... Pressure rises, gasses get warmer...

Thanks for the kind words Gentlemen! I have put the model on the track for storage for a while and need to get on with a couple of small commitments. here is the loco finished as far as construction with the large filler valves installed

The tiny air pressure valve was a fiddly bit.

The hooks were a combination for brass and copper.

Michael, these very textured, precise parts show off your strong, professional processing skills. Whether it’s machine-made or hand-made, you’re brilliant. I also like the full metal train model very much. I think in the future, after completing the five ships in my life plan, I will consider a change。。。 Ha Ha! Thank you for your inspiration and motivation!
