Thank you, now i have decided on my way ahead the  mindset of getting the river sorted out, it has given me lots of ideas, and allows me to stay within the small area of what will possibly a large footprint,

i used the tower from the Stari Most kit and attached it ti the wall, the base will have a wooded surround, and 1/2 way up will have a platform for the pageant horn blowers to honour the royal barge as it comes along side,

Good afternoon everyone

its going to be very hard for me not going down the fantasy route, i so very much want this to be a medieval town, but already my head wants to try other things on this project, those that have seen Merlin, or Game Of Thrones, will know what im on about

also i have broken another new years promise to complete a project before moving on, lol it lasted 10 days, must be a record

several things dont work, here, the water mill. and the large tunnel, so something had to change, good bye water mill, i can work with the very large tunnel

, the tunnel entrance may change size, or i will put something in front of it

are palace is now being built up, the wife is not helping much, as she asked why i had built a cabinet full of drawers, also the early start of a new civic centre to the left of the laughing tower

I look at each of your new posts with a lot of attention: you build fast and well!
But I have to admit that I have no idea what your final project will look like... I have no idea where you want to go! 🤣
I'm very curious about what's next! 😉

The size of this is staggering, how did you get planning permission from the Admiral?

i have a good idea where this stage is going, but it does have a mind of its own, i knew that this might happen, out side of the river area i have no ideas at all. maybe, just maybe the town will just become a harbour, im open to ideas

but for now i have plenty to do

planning permission is not an issue,  lol i lie a lot

seriously though, since i retired, the wife is just happy for me to be at home

i will most likely convert the first mancave into a home for the diorama 12'x 8' 4m x2.5m

thank you,

i am trying hard not to spread it out to much this early in the build, but as everything is being buily as seperate units, i do chop and change some things around,, the courtyard over the top of the tunnels is the next to go i think

good morning everyone

the royal palace is taking shape, the size is not over large, and will form part of the back drop, as in there will be no backs to this, one of the panels has already been removed to enable a matching look both sides

hoping it will come to life a bit when the windows are made,

quite a lot of changes and progress made since the last update, the palace/chest of drawers is now smaller, hopefully, it will look better than a block of flats when complete

the tunnel has gone

and the where the tunnel was a new wall has been made

the royal route to the palace has changed as well

the first wall i made on the right side jetty  has been extended

good evening everyone

the build continues,  and gets bigger weekly

i wanted to try and attempt a bricks and wood structure, as this will form a lot of the buildings as it progresses forward, so i tried it with a large warehouse, as it will form part of the dockyard, i can just see a Tudor warship tied up alongside ( no dragons) that would certainly provide some reason for the royal parade

i have no home for the warehouse at present

a few other bits are coming together as well, as wall are being finished off
