for some days I have been building a traditional Italian boat, a small sailing ship used for coral fishing. The coral was uprooted from the bottom with the use of fishing nets, this method was extremely destructive and the material that was lost was more than what was caught but it was a very well paid fishing

Beautiful work Maurino, looking forward to watching your progress.

One question, are you using the plans from the Velle Italiane della Costa Occidentale?

Thanks,

George

Hi George, I found the plans I am using on Piero Cristini's website, who in turn drew them from the magazine "Yacht Digest", but in fact they are identical to those of the book you mentioned (which is wonderful) .

Nice work. Keep some of your hull finish on hand, going to need some touch up when you modify the Gudgeons and Pintals so the rudder will swing.

This is a wonderful model, Maurino. I love this small, fishing vessels.

Thank you Bob , I love the big vessels that have made the history of the sea, but also the small traditional work boats .

These Mediterrenean boats are mostly very colourful, makes nice change.

I was wondering, how this high capstan was worked, it doesn't look very stable.
