hee....hee........that's the same reaction I got from my admiral,  after she saw what the wood builds look like.   only two of my build left the house......and she hated to see them go!   I simply told her........get me another kit     sounds like a splendid place for her to reside.

The rigging and sails I think has taken about a year to do.

 

The admiral said I have to re paint my office/hobby room before I start the "RW"     :(         .

got one more question: As I understood the decks of the SOS are ready to build in - I mean the decks have not to be planked. Although the look is very accurate und smooth - what is your opinion about this way of building? Is it a "+" or a "-" for you? I see there is a trend to prefabricate more and more parts. This is a this-and-that-way... I am not sure what I should think about... hmmm

Re decks and planking.

 

I think it looks OK as it is but if I had to do it all again I think I would prefer to plank it myself.

Billing's did that a lot with their older kits.......some folks didn't like it.   they do sell  wood grain laminate that has an adhesive backing,  but I think the hard part would be the calking,  since it is so thin.

Hi All

 

All the rigging is now finished.

 

All cannon doors are fitted to port side.

 

Most of the cannons are fitted.

 

Just the anchors to rope up and the stand to paint ( will make do with the stand till I get a better one ).

 

Hope all will be finished on Monday ha ha.
