Hi All

All the rigging is now finished.

All cannon doors are fitted to port side.

Most of the cannons are fitted.

Just the anchors to rope up and the stand to paint ( will make do with the stand till I get a better one ).

Hope all will be finished on Monday ha ha.

Denis.

Denis

As usual you never disappoint. What a magnificent result. Well done. I look forward to following your next build log with the RW.

I know how difficult and sometimes frustrating this project must have been, as I am currently building the same SOS.

Having found  parts missing and the instructions, most wanting & very challenging.

Your rigging is nothing like the book, and hope one day I may call on you for assistance.

I also love the rigging colours you used, as i think it differs from the Mantua kit

Absolutely Awesome

Hi Visi

First thank you so much I do like your input and comments.

The rigging rope that I used was a dark fawn + the wax that I used, did not like the idea of white rigging rope .

I put the kit's rope in the bin before I started.

Visi just let me know OK.

That is what this forum is about.

Again thank you.

Denis

Denis........those are some fantastic pictures of your build........she look absolutely stunning!    the layering of detail and rigging overlay,  really shows depth into the build.   you've put quite a bit of yourself into this build!   your so close to the end of this build......I'd love {and hate} to be a fly on the wall when you finally say those immortal words  "I'm finished!"    I'd hate to see a grown man cry.........the "let down" release is going to be quite traumatic! ;)

Hi Popeye

It is always sad to come to the end of a build, it is like a girlfriend that you love and she says goodbye , but you know that another is just round the corner :D  :D and that is the "RW".

Hi Max

No I will not put any photos on the gallery sorry.

It is only my second build and I don't think it is worthy to be in the gallery.

Sorry about that.

Sorry to disagree with you, but that is more than worthy, Denis !!

I, for one, would definitely like to see more pictures.

So, I beg you to re-consider.

Hi Denis...

I agree with Steve. I would be a pity if you would not share your great build in a gallery with all the visitors around here.

You created such a superb model...

Pls think it over again :D

If this one isn't "worthy" of going in the gallery, then I fear nothing I ever build will meet the criteria of being "worthy".  Your Sovereign of the Seas is incredible, and someday I hope to have put together a model that is even close to as nice looking.

So yea, you can put me in the 'You should put this in the gallery - with lots of photos' column.

If you are worried, then label your gallery entry as "First Attempt" ...

... just don't expect people to believe you !!

Hi Steve

I am not joking the SOS is my second build.

The first one I finished the hull, but did not do the masts or yards, it went into the bin about a month ago.

So the SOS is my first finished build.

Denis.
