Hello

Been wanting to build model ships since i was a kid, and now, recently divorced I have the  time and space to live it out!!

Just received "Occre Palamos 1:45 Scale", though looking at the instructions, this may be a bit "long-haired" as the first one...?

Waiting for some building tools to arrive and will be ready to start this weekend!!

Already been gathering a lot of tips and inspiration from this forum!

Welcome Brian!!   Is this your first build?  If it is, you may want to shelve your kit for the time being and look at the multi build series at Model Shipways designed by David Antscherl.   It is progressive and will teach you good habits as the instructions and materials are superior.   https://modelexpo-online.com/-become-a-shipwright-of-old-a-wooden-boat-3-kit-kombo.html

Good luck!

Hey Brian, welcome aboard from a fellow Texan!

And hi from yet another Texan (from the dfw area)

I'm also a noob.

I've been working on a Chesapeake Bay Flattie model from Midwest Products (no longer in production), and I've been loving it and having more fun than I thought I would.

I found your build log and will follow.
