Today I start building a new ship. The ship will be in Admiralty style. Regarding the spar, I haven’t decided yet whether to do it or not. At the moment, I made drawings of the frames and began cutting them out. In total I got 60 frames.

I ordered a friend some pear wood for frames. A whole box arrived, this is only for the ship's hull. I immediately started cutting frames on my CNC. Now I will be cutting frames for a month.

I use this machine from Aliexpress to cut parts and decor.

I found only one diagram of this ship, but there are doubts that it corresponds to the original. There are a lot of oddities and inaccuracies on it. I definitely won't follow it. I will clarify the details using models and drawings of English ships of that time, which are in museums.

First, I drew all the frames, then laid them out on wooden blocks. Then I created the trajectories in the ArtCam program. Now I'm sawing them out. It takes an hour to cut one piece, 120 dies in total.

I sawed the frames. Now I need to sort them by number.

These are unfolded frames from the middle to the bow of the ship.

I took frames from Sussex as a basis. Then I redrew them to match the Resolution drawings

I started building the ship from the bow. I want to build a small part, then sand the inside. If the fragment is large, sanding will be inconvenient.

Coming along nicely. The slot for the lion figure needs to allow for the two-way taper of the knee of the head. It is not slab parallel sided.

I make the minimum distance and then manually adjust it to fit the bow of the ship.

Looking great. The flare at the bow is quite dramatic!

A friend of mine makes such a tool to order. It is very convenient for them to process the hull of a ship.

The ship's hull is assembled and sanded. Now I'll start cutting out the gun ports and finishing the stern.
