Hello Ken, welcome to this wonderful forum. Do not worry about what you term Standards, your models look very good, well made and appear to be ones that also sit in their true element, I mean the water.

As you continue to build more please start a build log so we can follow along.

Michael

Current builds  Bristol Pilot Cutter 1:8;      Skipjack 19 foot Launch 1:8;       Herreshoff Buzzards Bay 14 1:8

Other projects  Pilot Cutter 1:500 ;   Maria, 1:2  Now just a memory

Future model Gill Smith Catboat Pauline 1:8

Beautiful model Ken. I look forward to more pictures - and the maiden voyage.

I thought that was the Waverley I spotted on your top shelf. I see she has no paddles - is she still unfinished, or is she "in refit"?

Very nice model. I like the rc steamship idea. Don't worry about the quality, it seems quite alright, and no place takes harm from diversity! ;)
I would like to see your building process in more detail, at future work. If in doubt of how to do anything here on the forums, don't be afraid of asking. Well, you can even make a new thread in this section: Questions/instructions on how to use and post to this forum/Site Problems or suggestions (link)
Check it out, it's good reading when in doubt :)

Hi all dont know what happened to all the other pics but have picked her up again after a long while

so I got her off the shelf and the first thing I notice is she needs lots of cleaning(I must remember to cover her up when not doing work on her)

next is a lot of cleaning may have to remove all the rigging to do that properly (don't mind as i have some proper rigging line now)then I have to figure something out for the tops of the funnels.
