They look fine Piet!  And I think they'll pass "muster" with flying colors. 

Got a ring-side seat Jack.   It certainly seems like a different approach by AL, with no keel for the rabbit,and mounted on the former before the bulkheads. Curious!

Wow! You sure don't waste time Ken.  Looks like I'll have to pull up a barrel out here in the wings. Looking forward to this one. When you get to the bulkhead/keel assembly, double check the bulkheads for symmetry in the plans. They are a bit off on my set, but hopefully yours won't be.

I agree with Gary Jesse!  The letters look fine and the figurehead looks better painted, rather than left natural.

Pretty cool Matt!  Just looking at the size of those cap-rails, and how they're assembled, puts the 1:76 model in perspective.

The harpoons look good John. Are you planning on displaying one of the boats outside the ship with a sail up, or all stowed on board?

Thanks John, but it's been something that;s been building for around 7 or 8 years now. It's not really that big a deal. I've learned how to manage it somewhat without turning myself into an alcoholic or junkie.   Found out there's more truth to the adage, "old wounds" than I realized. I got a bunch, but I had a lot of fun when I was young though. 

As someone with severe osteo in both wrists and various other joints, I know exactly what you mean about "sore" from what otherwise would be a relatively simple operation. Takes me about 3 days to heal when they hurt like that. 

I think I'd use pliers for that and just live with sacrificing the end of the dowel with the "teeth-marks" in it. 

Very nice work John.  Have you seen the ads for the new "Moby Dick" movie? Looks like it'll be a good one.  I just hope they stay true to the historical details of the ships of that period. 

I don't think they were "completely" served, if served at all Robb. The lines that have a "mouse" on them would be at least partly served I believe. It might be worth having a look at some museum replicas if you can find them. 

Congrats Brian. Like the others have said, it's a well deserved award, as it should be after all the extra steps you've taken to produce a model of this quality.

You did an outstanding job on her Ken. Definitely one to be proud of, and one future Niagara builders would be wise to reference.
