  1. You can also do that to a painted surface to give it a high gloss finish, like on model cars.
  2. Beautiful Yves ! But I have a question. How much of this exquisite detail will be visible when the model is complete? Is one side going to be clear plastic. Would be a shame to hide all of this interior detail.
  3. So far so good, Lou! Looks nice.
  4. Nice ! I will pull up a stool and watch
  5. I hope to receive the remainder of my supplies by the end of this week so I can finish the display and post the results. Stay tuned. In the meantime enjoy some popcorn from Mark's popcorn maker
  6. Dioramas are not that hard to do. Today in the digital age, there are dozens of How To videos on YouTube that will show you the basics. And a lot of the raw materials you need to build one are in your backyard.
  7. Not necessarily true, Lou . I have the same problem translating what appears in my head into what sits on the work table in front of me, especially when it comes to doing dioramas. Eventually I get there but oh the journey can be rough at times.
  8. Yes, it does. I bookmarked this for later reference. Thanks
  9. Yeah and I still get glue smeared clear plastic windows .....
  10. Tractor came out nice, like the color. Those tracks look cool too. When I get finished doodling I will have to revisit my model and see about fixing the tracks. And give it a bath
  11. The governor of NY state issued an Executive order mandating that we wear a face covering when I leave my house, so I ordered this to wear
  12. Yea, that box does look familiar now that you posted it. Don't really want to buy another kit just to steal the sprockets, especially not the Walker - not my cup of tea - I have a lot of left over sprockets from other tank kits, even the Sherman has an extra set, any chance any of them will fit?
  13. How do you fix it ? Or where can I get new treads. Wish Tamiya would offer theirs as an accessory kit Would love to look at your build log!
  14. My 20 year old or so Hasegawa (????) tracked vehicle - minus some parts due to age and storage - but it is well weathered in dust
  15. I think I have that same model. Hasegawa I think made the kit. The only complaint I have with it is that after 15-20 years the rubber tank treads dry rotted and fell off. Tried to reassemble with glue and staple but they kept rotting, so now it's treadless. Nice looking model by the way.
  16. Since I am building these models for my own pleasure and not for an IPMS modeling contest, who cares ! 99.9999999 % of the people viewing them in my home would never know the difference nor would they care. And may I ask where your models are, I haven't seen any examples of yours on this site.
  17. That is a really cool looking model !
