Looks good Norway! You're getting there
I'm also not always happy with close-ups from my model...something to work on in the future haha.

The Tanganyika looks more like wood though. I'm still not sure if I like that über clean look of boxwood

As usual.... Pristine work mugje.
What did you use for colouring the ratlines?
I diluted some black paint, that worked fine. The only difference with the indian ink is...that diluted paint dries somewhat hard up. And with the ink the line keep more flexibel.

Thank you. Will think about business , but need customers first
Thank you. If you look at my first post there was no planning for CNC...a Few years later 4 axis is no problem. I started with simple 2D stuff and slowly progress to 3D.... If you have any questions or need help, please feel free to ask.
Thanks Vene, I am glad you like it .
I think a lot of the builders here would be potential costumers. I would

Vanguard Models Master Shipwright kit of HMS Speedy!!
I will put up a thread very soon on this with all details… but the first impression of this kit is simply "wow"!
Everything packed very nicely and protected. Other kits I have bought has been quickly packed with sawdust and manuals with folded paper etc. Here you can really see that someone has made an effort in protection and layout. I have just briefly looked at all the wood and the parts and its simply way beyond what I have worked with previously. Only problem is that if I get used to this level of quality I wont be able to go back to my other kits....
And also a big thanks to Chris who let me order a kit before the official release and it was delievered very quickly to Sweden where I live!Really nice! You have somewhat a kit collection now

Lost track a bit do you still have a warped keel bit ??
Its almost impossible to straighten an MDF one - ply is juuust possible but not worth the effort.
You are owed a replacement - ask for it from your supplier
Where are you - in the UK and most countries the supplier is responsible NOT the manufacturer
Yes I did not start with the kit yet. I live in the Netherlands but purchased the kit at Cornwall Model Boats. If that is the case like you said then I
will send an email to CMB for a replacement. Thanks for tuning in!

Thanks VTHokiEE, I will take a look. From a quick glance it seems like many of the items are currently out of stock and will have to wait for a month or so.
Thanks for the kind words Ryland! Yes I did look through the instructions. Both the kits' instructions are muchhh better than that of AL's Virginia. Since you reminded me of the more detailed Syren instructions I am leaning towards that ship more now haha, but it is quite a lot more expensive than the Fair American. I'll research a bit more on both ships before I make a decision.
I've sent a mail to GMB when and if the stock was being refilled. This was more then a month ago I think. They said that the manufactorer did not have any stock anymore, so they didn't know when a new delivery was comming. GMB is great by the way...not meant as a diss
The ships that you chose have also different scales, so that is maybe something that can help you with your descision
