Cleverly done. I was referred here by Lazy Saint and I am enjoying the many innovations of all of the people on this site. I have not worked with small pieces of wood like this. Wood is fun because you can do so many things with it. And you are obviously having fun. I am going to follow you and I know I will learn many tricks.
Thank you! That's nice to hear

That would be a great idea!

You are going fast now! Looks wonderful
Do you find it difficult to finish it with the Pegasus waiting on the shelf? I must keep myself on track with the Pickle and not just quick want to finish it

Well the fires didn't permit, so it's Christmas at home. For us it's a minor inconvenience - others are having a very, very tough time indeed.
good to hear that you are safe 👍

A heat gun is an interesting idea, of course I recently bought a small travel iron to apply the heat but I feel like the heat gun would be easier (maybe not cheaper though). Thanks for sharing the technique!
Did you already experimented with the traveler iron? I bought also one after seeing it in the video of Chuck.

Looks wonderful mugje, you should be proud! 😊
Just started rigging my Pickle.
Confused with some parts of the rigging, especially the backside of the fore mast.
Could you be so kind and take some close-up,s and post? 😊
Here are some close-ups. I hope this helps. If you need specific parts that needs to be clear, let me know!
There is on the foremast a pendant that is not hanging right haha...I will need to fix that...stubborn piece of rope

Thank you! I will take some pictures this afternoon👍. Just take everything step by step. By the way...those hanging pendants, that you need to attach at the beginning on the main mast cap...those aren't for anything. They are just hanging there . You can even see it on the box with the prototype.

PS: You could rig the ruder too (4 more small blocks to go :-P) 😉
I saw that the Pegasus did have a rigged rudder, but did the Pickle have that also?

I did not serve rope. Only a small part around the mouse. It's not authentic, but I did not have enough knowledge to do it correct like in real
practice. But I have learned a lot from other logs and have an idea now what needs to be served.
With the next ship I will go further with perfecting the rigging and serve the line. And I would buy a serving machine, like Chuck Passaro's one.
That looks much easier and more enjoyable.
