It's nice to see you improving from design to design Chris, also with the instant feedback you get from the forum. It's a small detail that you don't see any ply underneath the edges of the see-through of the deck anymore...those little improvements are really cool to see!

It's good you have some distraction from that snooze fest on your laptop...
Your rigging is a real example for others!

What kind of black paint did you use on the wales? Looks a matt black/grey-ish. I like it, but maybe it's just the lighting?

Thank you so much Ronald-V. Appreciated you looking in and your compliments.
Whenever I see a comment from someone new to my post I find it fun to check the profile to see how far MSW reaches around the world 😊! How are things in the Netherlands? Been to several of the cities west if you (Amsterdam, Rotterdam, etc) but never Joure. No doubt it is as beautiful as the rest of the country.Yes it's quite special we are in contact with so many around the world. I can imagine you've never been in Joure....it's a small village of 13.000 people in the North, not really a tourist attraction, but nice to live in. It's good here in the Netherlands, thanks for asking!

Agreed with Brunnels! Lovely planking! Almost sad you going to cover it with paint

Update:
Garboard strake is in place. Used a 6mm wide plank for this. This gave me mid-ship 4mm wide planks for the final belt (well 4.1 to be precise
) but close enough.
It was not an easy plank and here and there I have a small seam, but I will use the cheat code of glue with some sanding dust to cover this
The plank is out of one piece so I used diluted PVA to glue this piece on...this gave me plenty of time to get it in place.
One important thing was that the tip of the strake at the bow didn't curved up...and that didn't happen so I'm quite pleased with the result.
Now starts the whole song over with dividing the last belt etc...

Those wales look beautiful! And your hull looks super smooth! 🤩 For the sand through spots...maybe some sanding dust with diluted PVA to fill it up? Or mixing some paints to match the color of your pear and cover the underlying wood with it (would test both methods first on scrap pieces). Or like you said...if it don't bothers you, then it's okay ofcourse
