I'll be hanging with Sharpe and the Rifles, OC. Brewing tea for the "boys". Osprey have a nice 3 volume set on Waterloo; the 3rd booklet covers La Haie Sainte, along with the rest of the climactic day. Background material.

Patrick, it was also used to get the machine moving, especially if they might be hauling a trailer or other items behind the vehicle. Usually a fine, dry sand.

I believe the paint in those deck areas are "filled" with a grit to give an reduced skid surface or "sidewalk". Best find pictures of the real O'Bannon or similar Fletchers that show a deck view for placement.

I'd never dream of telling any of my weapons guys how to do their jobs, even though I had some training on the weapons and loading procedures. I did help boresight our 20mm Gatling cannon. Complicated process. I knew what not to touch in the front seat.

I got waylaid with other projects and this went on a back burner. I do have the bitts installed, but must still paint the chocks. And I did acquire some items for deck loading. Those will need some paint and fine wire details. I also purchased a 3' long car float kit, but I have to perform surgery to the deck to get it to mate with my float bridge. Rails to the single track don't line up. The gantlet track is fine. The car floats have 3 tracks on them, but the float bridges have a novel way of conserving space for these approach tracks from the land to the barge. My railroad, the Lackawanna, used the right side of the diagram.

I'd totally forgotten about this stuff! The clear coat then decaling will be the test. The finish looks good so far. I'd like to see what the range of colors might be available.

A lot of attack aircraft are termed fighters, Mark. Easier to group them into fewer categories for the masses. Operations aviators know they are different.

I'm in on this, Denis. Yes, they designed the A-10 around the GAU-8 30mm cannon. The cannon is in the center-line of the fuselage; the nose gear is offset. Lots of well thought out defensive features, too.

Allan and EG, I watched that video and almost cried when the "bird" caught fire. There's a lake near Eielson AFB, near Fairbanks, AK with a B-29/50 in it. Or at least it was, back in the mid 90s, when I was on temporary duty up there.

If it tastes good, it must be bad for you. I'm with Carl on the Diet stuff. Too many chemicals that aren't good for us. Juices and water for me. With the occasional adult beverage as needed.

Here in the Southeast, the outlets are Hardee's. Same company. Culver's is better.

It's an MRAP ATV with all those goodies. Imagine the Abrams TUSK kit they have. One version is a full interior. -

Yeah, really like a large moving map display. Extremely detailed. Is it a full detailed interior? -
Alclad makes lacquer based metallic paints in several different shades, but it's sprayed on. AK interactive also has a line, Xtreme metal paint, but it also is an airbrush product. I read their how to Here: http://www.ak-masters.com/ak/NEWSMARCH2015/XTREME_METAL.pdf It supports polishing and masking with good results, but it's a spray.
