  1. Yeh Druxey, I'm thinking about getting a whole home humidifier installed to our warm air furnace to take care of this issue and help with other problems. Ben
  2. Beautiful work as usual Druxey, a pleasure to watch a master at work. Ben
  3. Getting back to work on Pegasus may be delayed due to hull movement in its new home, the new workshop has low humidity and of course it's winter time, may have to wait until summer and hope it expands and closes the gaps. Maybe some work of my Confederacy while I wait. Ben
  4. Getting much closer to having a functioning workshop again, a few more power outlets to install now I have figured where everything is going. Ben
  5. Hey Nige, nice to see another Confed build starting, and just a few miles away from my own, good luck with the rigging, Ron ( Hollowneck ) Neilson did a fine job rigging his and maybe able to give you some help on the belaying plan. I will watch with interest Ben
  6. Well, I dont know what to say!! Augie is gone and I will miss him greatly! We used to PM about our builds of the Confed and swop notes of what we had experienced. It is a sadder day without him here talking about modelling and fishing. ben
  7. Sweet Rusty, I'm abound halfway building my workshop now, It took two months for me to do the demo work in my basement just to clear the room, say another month or so and I should be able to get back to Pegasus. Ben
  8. Wow Rusty, everybody seems to be moving at the moment, glad mine is over
  9. Nice to see you working on cheerful Rusty, wish I could get back in the shop. Ben
  10. Hey Maurey, really nice work but a question, the last picture side on shows the scupper ports at different heights, is that camera angle or intended? As this is the dead flat area of the ship I would not of expected a difference of height. Ben
  11. Hi All, Need some advice on what kind/size/brands of dust collection and extraction systems you all use and would recommend. I just moved and now my workshop will be in my basement, so keeping dust down will be a big thing. The back workshop is a 12x25 space, this is where the really dirty tools will be located, 14" bandsaw, full size table saw, 12" Planer, 6" jointer, thickness sander etc....., I will need a good dust collector in here, maybe 1.5 HP with 4" ducting and blast gates. Front workshop is a 25x25 space, mainly for modeling tools ( Byrnes ) and other smaller stuff, get away with shop vac and dust extractor?? Any help or advice would be welcome, especially on sizing of units and reviews of good/bad equipment that you have experienced. Thanks again Ben
  12. Thanks all for the comments. Martin - the workshop will be much larger than that, the back basement for the full size dirty tools is almost complete, at 12x25, just finished painting, now need to complete lighting and outlets. The front basement where the actual shipyard will be is 25x25, that is the pic I posted, I am still doing demo of the old family room at the moment so still a few months away. Ben
  13. Nice to see you back at the workbench Greg, she looks lovely. Ben
  14. Hope you get some workshop time Mark to finish those strokes off, I'm still in workshop building mode but hope to have a small workspace ready by the new year so I can get back to Pegasus. Best wishes to the Admiral. Ben
  15. Demo work in the basement in progress, Site of my new workshop. ben
