  1. I flipped through your Niagra build. Excellent work! I think this Constitution build is even outdoing that one. Both great builds. I wonder where you purchased the brass tubing. Sorry if you've answered this already in any of your posts. I am also wondering your thoughts on what your third ship build will be being that your current subject is very complex. Thanks for sharing the link. Steve
  2. Well the ship looks amazing. Your years of modeling really show. Many people are learning from you. Can you attach a link to your first ship build if you have it? I wish I started this hobby earlier! Steve
  3. Impressive is the word that comes to mind. Awesome wood and metal work. You've obviously been at this hobby for a long time. Steve
  4. Bob- Fantastic work. Eagerly awaiting your next steps. I would also like to thank you for your log. It has been extremely helpful and an inspiration for my longboat build. Chuck's log and yours- simply the best builds of the longboat. -Steve
  5. Thomas- It's simply awesome. Great log to reference for any Syren builder. I know I will when time comes for me to build her. -Steve
  6. Andy- I agree and am also enjoying your log. Very clean work and it proves that one can create something spectacular with basswood! It's more difficult but that challenge makes it fun. -Steve
  7. I appreciate the kind words and all the likes. I think I forgot to mention that this build started in June! I am trying not to rush it but am also anxious to finish it up. I have to stop planning the next builds! Although I already have Chuck's Mayflower in mind for the third build. Off to more sanding. Pray nothing breaks! Steve
  8. This is my first build. Since there are many great logs on this model, I will provide brief progress updates. Due to a "tree nailing" mishap I started over with replacement parts from Model Expo. Btw- it's no more fun to plank this a second time around! I have the English Pinnace waiting on the side. I intend to display both models together if I'm pleased with the results. We will see. Steve
  9. Definitely email model expo. They respond better than by phone. Steve
