Its a great project you got there. The scale is small and so with very interesting. Its the scale I like because it doesnt need much space for display. I visited CS two years ago. Great ship! Wish a lot of fan Steve... am going to watch your interesting work. Christos🇨🇾

Steven your figures are great! It seems to me you forget the size of your scale! It doesnt go beyond that. I think for this scale, you have accomplished the limit. Excellent work! Christos Ps. Awesome picture 😁. You got style.Maybe you take part in the new Robin Hood movie!

@Nirvana thank you so much for your excellent remark Sir. It seems you saved my model! You got an eye! Thats fascinating seeing that just through a picture. @cog I did what you said me to do! Thank you my friend... it was decisive what you told me, the moment you did and your concern over the disaster I was facing this morning. Hura rescue operation of this morning, called "mission impossible"... SUCCEEDED! Here the result:

@NirvanaThank you. Yes, I checked and there is a small deviation there. You are right. I dont know how it happend the tape I used was straight. Have to think how to correct it if possible at this.stage. I think I can still do that.

Hard work last two days. 8 hrs total and the foremast rigging starts to get formed. Didnt use GAC 400 to blow wind into the sails but just a thin brass wire at the bottom and the side opposite the mast. The two square sails are furled because thats the plan as the picture below.

The rigging its not just an additional mast... its another two masts😉 Thank you for dropping by Wish you a nice day my friend

Steven awesome! The figures are just awesome. Be prepared am going to place you an order of my next kit's figures. What it will cost? Dont care... any price shall be lower than what your work worth 😁. About that magnifying head set.... dont tell me about it! I bought it last year and since then, every time I use it, I keep say to my self : "I was blind and I saw light" 😎🙄

So today SWC completed 200 hrs of work. The crow's nest in now on the foremast. I rather call it the "cuckoo's nest" after all the hard time I had with this detail. Even installing it on the mast wasnt easy because the parts had to be and were allready painted. The blocks of the kit look realy nice. They are plastic but need to be painted. There is a good tamiya brown paint:

@cog thank you. The 0.5 mm wire gave me a hard time. It was to hard to bend correctly in a circle. The flame heating and the shocking cooling through cold water, made it softer and after more than a few trials I got it right.

@KatsumotoThank you Peter for watching my work and many thanks for your kind words. I am working on wooden ship models since 2015. Before that -as a student in the 70s-80s- I used to make plastic models. There was much painting but no other skills or knowledge, as wooden ships require. So am still a trainee in this aspect, on the contrary with your skills which am watching closely.Actualy I believe that when and if I reach your level, -and only then-am going to consider my self as a good and experienced modeller. Cheers Peter Christos

Shipyard open today after Christmas holidays. Masts continued and crow's nest started and almost finished.... wasnt easy because of the round brass wire.

Flag issue Guys its the issue I face by every model I do. These are my latest thoughts/views and dids: 1. My preference I believe the flag isnt flying when the ship sails. The flag is flying only when ships reach the port. And ofcourse we (in our navy at least) take down the flag when the sun sets. But.... on the contrary to all the above on my last model I found it challenging to fly the flag on the sailing ship... I believed it was going to be pretty and nice and elegant and classy and, and,and... and it turned out beautiful... just beautiful! 2.custom flags from UK For my last model Fr.Hermione, I decided that the French flag in the kit wasnt the right one. I decided that having the royal envoy on board (Marq.Lafayette) the flag to use was the King's flag, Lui's flag (Haus of Burbon flag). So I order a custom made cloth flag by https://www.alwayshobbies.com. I have send them the picture of the flag and the dimensions I needed. Came in 10 days to Cyprus and the price was reasonable. Very good quality and could form the wind with hot air. You can see that flag here in blog in my Herm. buildlog or in kits gallery. Christos
