  1. My first car was a hand-me-down Renault Douphine. If I had been a little more car savvy and understood mechanics better at the time it would have been a much better car. I think that in many ways it was a better car than the VW bugs that many of my friends had back then.
  2. How can I be in the rigging???? You don't have any yet! Now the grog locker! That could be another matter. Is there a shore facility close where I can sit in the window and watch while tipping a few?
  3. Hey Denis Do you know how to tell an Italian plane in a snow storm?
  4. Ken beat me to it. When I looked at the black finish I also thought of the numerous cool Playboy and Skunk Works paint jobs 'If all else fails". I am certain that this will not be the case though and I am madly trying to find my sunglasses, (We don't need them much here in the PNW) before the big unveiling.
  5. Great work Denis. I suspect this will probably be the oddest aircraft in your collection for a while. They were a very strange looking design.
  6. Congratulations Mark Very nice nice work in almost record time.
  7. What a great build this turned out to be. Congratulations.
  8. Turned out nice OC. Do you have a better place to put it than back into the bin?
  9. Well I know you were hoping that I would be MIA but I found you anyway. Looks like you are well on your way Jack. Just think of me as your Albatross.
  10. I think they have done pretty much the same thing with the real ship over the years, depending on which Constellation you are talking about. The 1797 version, the 1854 copy, or the 1961 namesake.
  11. Heck Jack, I'm versatile I can be just as irritating in the ship section as anywhere else. I am more of a Constitution fan than a Constellation aficionado, but I will still find you there and haunt the shadows.
  12. I am not certain that I would like doing guard duty in that tower. SO CLOSE to all those fresh pie and bread smells! That would be pure torture! Great progress Ekis
  13. Looking REALLY nice Denis. You must be getting the hang of building B-17s.
  14. And decals, and paint finishes, and........................?
  15. I also agree, and I love both ships and ship history, but I still follow and enjoy many of the non-ship builds. I think of it as a guilty pleasure.
  16. For some reason it seems like the site has not been showing all the updates on posts that I watch and it seems a lot has happened since Monday when I was last informed on this post I personally think that if you have no intent of including the pilot, then the slats, flaps and brakes would all be in the home position. The slats and flaps would be used for takeoff and landings and the brakes on or after the wheels hit the runway to slow down as fast as possible. As far as I know the 105 had no reverse thrust clam shell or any other means of rapidly slowing the rather fast approach and touchdown speeds we all know they had. Once the aircraft slowed below a certain speed these surfaces would become fairly useless and would in all probability be retracted. All this would need a pilot in the front office. I know you have gone well beyond this part now but I thought I would throw my 1.6 in as well. Probably only worth .95 now. Carry on!
  17. Great progress Mark I am not much of an armor guy normally, the only "armor" kit I ever built was an M-113 some multiple years ago, but I am enjoying following your build.
  18. I lucked out tonight. My bottle is getting pretty light and I was not certain if there would be enough to do ribs tonight. SO I crossed my fingers and lit it all up. Luckily for me we made it. I would not have heard the end of it if dinner was late because I ran out of gas! BAD thing to do! I know because I have done it before.
  19. I think we need to send someone over to your house and confiscate that hairdryer OC. It is causing way too many problems with your builds! Nice recovery though.
  20. WOW........ I never got PAID for my atta-boys! I was lucky if they were even acknowledged! "You man, you fix, I woman, I boss man around."
  21. I also have their China Clipper seaplane kit and like EG just look at the box now and then and feel intimidated. I have seen a few of them built online but I don't know if any of them look a good as your build Per. Congratulations
