Yes indeed, Wellington chose the battlefield well, but it was touch and go for a while, especially with the charge of the British heavy cavalry which could have been a total disaster, but Blucher and his Prussian army kept his promise and turned the tide in the last couple of hours or so. -
Yes perfectly sited and positioned to achieve mass fire power from all sides upon an enemy between the squares.

Yes this and the time and manpower expended attacking Hougoumont, which was doing exactly what Wellington wanted it to do, presenting an obstacle to any attempt by the French to outflank the allies. Typically the French tried brute force of the massed columns against a veteran unit of the Guards who knew the destruction platoon volleys could do. Despite high casualties in the first assault the French just kept feeding the men in.

Hi, if shipping had not priced it out of my budget, the Byrnes saw is what I would have bought, after all the comments and recommendations on here and elsewhere I would say it's a no brainer if you have the funds. Just my two pennies worth. 🙂 -

I'm glad you've got it sorted Jack, do get some Cedar from Chuck, as it is lovely wood to work with and was a reasonable price even adding delivery and VAT. Of course it will be better value for you as you wont pay import taxes 😉 Seems like a rare thing happened as on Sunday we got 5-7 inches of snow that almost lasted till Tuesday morning😂

Thanks Denis, of course I'll put some more pictures up when I've finished😉 Looking at the decals, there are three numbers :421 :309 and :223. After trawling google, I've come up with a panzer division; Lehr Panzer, 5th army centred around Caen during overlord and mentions of Bastogne in the Ardennes, but this is where I've drawn a blank as I can't find any Panthers with these numbers present, if anyone can help out I'd be grateful, if not I shall purchase an alternative decal sheet. Have you thought about a bit of AYC from Chuck? I'm sure he's got some sheets of the right thickness or very close, and it does bend well. Just my two pennies worth 😉

They look like the German version of the British 8th army bren carrier and the 6pdr gun. Thankyou Patrick, still got the decals to do, I'm hoping to do more😉 as the rabbit hole is sucking me in!

Can't fault your logic😉 I got a scroll saw and table saw to do Winchelsea because of the effort and time it took to cut Tritons frames. To cut all the frames took me best part of 36-48 hours, basically did one complete frame each time.

The tracks are on and it's all put together, just the crew left to do. Some touch up painting needed thanks to everyone who looked in, commented or hit the button 😁 Cheers
