Ran out of time so dry fitting deck will have to wait til next time, right now it's time for Game of Thrones

My work area ( haha a board on top of the kitchen table )
Anyway glued bulkheads , keel , prow and rudder post. Tried to make sure bulkheads were square to false keel, I think they will pass muster when planking begins.
Have to get a brush to apply the glue to stop so much excess.
Got to say nearly forgot to do the beard and rabbit line

Thanks Gregory, I'm in England and after all advice I've got on here I think it definitely be an armed cutter with double plank.
So once again thanks to all

Hi James I have read this build upto date and Mermaid looks like she's going to be a nice little vessel. Unfortunately I have no tips to offer as I'm yet to start anything but hope to soon
Happy modelling

Thanks for the thoughts on my question. Although I have not built a wood boat I do have some experience of modelling from scratch, mainly scenery for wargaming you know buildings, rivers, trees etc... I have been reading some of the build logs on here and have been drawn to HM Cutter Sherbourne as she seems to fit my brief and will give me some experience with rigging a mast and yards.
So thanks to all on here.

Hi I'm new to model building in wood though I have modelled plastic kits and was wondering which kit to go for (I would prefer a naval brig or cutter )
I would be grateful for any input
Thanks

After putting one plank on I've realised I've got to get some glasses with better magnification as my poor old eyes are straining too much. So maybe I'll get another lamp and a couple of those bulbs Vaddoc!!
