I screwed up the windows on my tugboat Taurus and I told them I’d pay for the windows and door (probably about 10 pieces total)...it took a while but they sent them free of charge! Great customer service for sure 😊

Beautiful colors selection. You are turning this little kit into a masterpiece.

Thank you so much! I was nervous at first, but I am happy with the decision 😊

I decided to do the turn of the century colors, instead of modern day yacht tenders.... so dark green (black green) exterior of hull, buff ( I did yellow ochre) interior hull, i did a dark walnut gunwale which I think I am happy with and I chose gunstock for the thwarts...which might be a bit much...I’m undecided on the oars, and mast.

Hi David,
I just wanted to ask what size block you used to substitute for the plastic kit version?
Thanks,
Don
Don,
i hade purchased a whole lot of sizes during a model expo sale and it seemed to match best with a 5mm single block.

i Have been working on other projects, and I was dismayed after I found some gaps in between my second row of planking, but I will get back to it. I have too many boat kits and I just can’t stop lol.
the counter area I shouldn’t have faired...I’m sure I can fix it with spacers, but I might have to paint the hull lol

I was afraid I would widen the slots and make for a not so snug fit...I marked the frames and used my saw, cut way easier then I thought! I was surprised how much I had to fair...and I think I went to far 😞

Next I need to deepen the slots on the keelson 1/16"
Instead of deepening the slots on the keelson, I notched the frame pieces. I’m not sure if it was a mistake or not, i thought it would be easier....it seemed to do the same thing in the end, but I’m not saying it’s the better thing to do. Good luck with your planking!

After realizing that I can’t put a pin through the block due to the fact it will block the rope from passing through, I had to redo all my blocks again...haha! Anyways I am considering this project complete as the tools do not really interest me.
