This will be were my Mississippi diorama will be placed when finished. First I will cut and trim the green carpet then, It will have a RHE rail line, rabbit hole express, name by @Keith Black thanks my man. The Green line will be were the ferris wheel will go, the red lines are road ways, blue is the water and the yellow line is were scenery pictures will go. Beside the green tractor will be a corel system. Some of the figures are, And the man in black with sunglasses lol My good freind and fellow modeler @Gabek has provided me with lots of figures for the boat, I will have a crew working on replacing the broken pitman .As well as some kids and ladies with umbrellumbrellas. They are all painted and ready to install. The figures are amazing esay to paint, it is the Army speed paint that does the work it is amazing stuff. So I brought the display back down to the shipyard Then I put most of it away, I have a few figures for the Duchess but they are in the early stages of painting. At least they have faces lol. The figures I got from A L are faceless, and the women have man faces, one even has a beard lol. At least you won't see them up close. Well that's it for now, awaiting ferris wheel, and water effects supplies. This will take for ever lol. Thanks for looking. Bob M. PFCGP GOOBER

No, I belive I misunderstood. You did say seizing, I can't read all that well. But for seizing, I use the smallest thread I have If the line is black, I use light color thread, if the line is light I use black, for contrast.. But I was told to use the smallest thread I could fine. My apologies for the confusion 😕 Bob M.

Hello Toolmaker, I am in the process of getting ready to do some serving , I can find alot of info on how to do it, but little on what sizes to use. Check out @Blue Ensign, log for his Pegasus. He lists some sizes he used for his 1:64 , that's what I am baseing my lines on. Plus it's a fantastic log as well hope this helps. I have only made 18 inches of practice line so far lol. Good luck, I be looking to see what you find. Bob M.

Just a little progress, I have rigged 3 cannons so far, I had to order two cannon carriages, and unlike @ERS Rich order which took a week from the UK to Boston, mine took 4days to come from the UK, then it stuck in Montreal Canada costoms for the passed 5 days and counting lol. Oh well what can you do. These cannons are fun to rig, I have no idea if these are done correctly but it's they way I did them. Breeching rope and two blocks , then seized the lines and glue them in. I made a plan so that when the other two cannons finally get here I will remember how I did these lol. The rope coils look ok, I made four turns of the rope, and I guess I should have only did 2 or 3 turns. Oh by the way, Private First Class Gnomer Pile got himself a make over. What do you think, He was very insistent on keeping his KB Lantern copper and the light on. He got caught up in a painting spree the other night, I painted 17 figures , and his cousin Goober.. These figures are ok for my diorama that I am doing, but they have no face, if you zoom in close, the are faceless. But from afar they will be OK. Man I am tired, lol. Gardening and canning by day, painting and rigging by night lol.. Thank you so much everyone, taking the afternoon off to watch the Bowl game, here in Manitoba, but right after that the First Mate says it time to change the attachments on the tractor from rotter tilling to potatoes digging lol. The fun never stop. How does that saying go, I will sleep when I am dead lol 😆 😂 Later my friend's. Bob M.

Well I can't believe it's just been 30days that I have been working on this ship. It's a dream to put together, everything just fits were it is supposed to. Except the cannon balls. The frist rack I put together the balls kept flying everywhere. Then I drop the bag. Yep, those little, tiny winy balls all over the black and grey carpet that's in the ship room. No cuss words were used lol. I don't know how many spare balls I had but I have one extra, which is better than one short.lol. For the next three racks I put a drop of Phatic glue first then added the ball , they stayed in place. SO this brings me to step number 217, which is the start of masts and rigging. Yeppie.. I have everything done except the cannons, all eyebolts, nails, paint thouch ups are done. Bang two coats of 2x flat clear coat, and she look marvelous. But now I have to go get my 16x24 deck , on my house, painted, and the First Mates garden is ready for harvest. I will have to rototill for her as well. And on raining days I will be painting figures for the King of the Mississippi , plus adding the water for the river and working on the train. So it may be awhile before I start the mast and yards. I made up a mast board to build up the masts when the time comes. Ok my friends that's it for awhile, ya right lol. 😆 🤣. Thank you so much everyone, you all have been such a great help. On to serving and seizing and masting oh MY. Lol right after painting and rototilling and canning oh my. lol 😆 😂 Bob M. PFCGP GOOBER

Hey @DocRob , yes I should have left the figurehead off until later. You would have thought that I learnt my lesson with the Pegasus, I broke that figurehead four time before my daughter said she will buy me a new one, lol. I put that one together, Now the Pegasus figurehead sits in a jar, waiting till I get back to it. I was going to leave the figurehead off for now, but the upper rails went on over the figurehead, so I thought I had to do it now In hind site I could have left the upper rail off on one side till It was safe, but I was more concerned about putting it on than the smart way of doing it, oh well. The wales and channels were installed, the first upper two steps go in-between the photo etch crowns. After that I used a straight edge ti line them up , and I still got them off a bit, but you know me, it'll will do. I made the hand rails above the dome, and on the stren, painted those this morning. I do have some small cleats to put on the bell tower and the Staghorns to install . I am waiting for my replacement cannons, two of the cannons didn't stand a chance against a 270 pound Neanderthal. You couldn't even tell what they were lol. As far as the ship's boat goes , I had three choice, One use the boat from my Pegasus build, I tryed that, but the lights in the ship yard started flickering the temperature dropped , and the furnace growled. I took it off everything went back to normal. Lol. Two and three are a 18 foot cutter and a 24 foot yawl, both are two large. So I message @Gabek to see what he thinks. He's my figure man and all resin parts. The man is fantastic. I might not even put one on, but DocRob" s ships boat is fantastic Ok , once around the horn for pictures, then going to try to rig the four cannons I have left. Then it's TIME to get ready for mast and rigging. Were did August go, lol. So this is how she looks today, almost like page almost like page 216 of the manual. And it says your model should look like this at this point,, and I belive it does lol Thanks so much everyone for all the help I gotten over the last three years now I can see some positive things happening in my builds. But I am not cocky I have so much to learn. Ok thanks for looking, now on to the RIGGING. Bob M PFCGP Goober

These are the pictures that go with the last post, you can see I lost the nights feather. Oh well only we will know. On to the stairs and finish the rails and then the channels. Then I am going to go back and look things over to see if I missed anything, two things I have to nail the photo-etch on and the top Pintle strap has to be painted black and put on. Ok later my freinds, our internet is so bad, having a hard time with loading pages, this sucks. but the son is on it, He says it's our server, so he's dealing with them for me. It will be the middle of next week before this is fixed.lol I wonder how far I will get on the Duchess before I can up load pictures. Lol. Thanks for all the likes, and the looks , still Grinning, but not as much lol Bob M.
