    Thank you all for the nice and warm words..... Even that I make a beginners mistake I'm still trying to put the shrouds UNDER the stays and the fore and mizzen mast are done. Only the mainmast.......and I think I'm lucky that I can do it without damaging the stays and crowfoots. Lucky me !!!!!!!! @ ETNZ and Ian, Thanks !!!!!!!! @ Popeye, What a confidence in me @ Wayne, You know the ZOO Blijdorp in Rotterdam???? They are now asking me if I want to work with them @ Greg, Wow is the most highest compliment you can give to someone. So thanks for that !!!!! @ Elijah, Are you living that high on a mountain ?????? I can not imagine how that looks because we don't have any mountain at all in Holland.     John, It's easy to lift the stays. There is a lot of stretch in the rope and I'm not using all of it yet Maybe I only has to change the crows feet but I think not. But again thanks for let me feel like a beginner Just kidding !!! Thank for saving me for a big gaffe Sjors

    Thanks a lot. @ Don, Thanks !!!!! @ Jason, I don't know what you mean with euphroe. I never hear from that word. But maybe the Old Vlaardinger ( Piet ) can help us with that. @ Bob, I onnly has to re-do those feet 3 times. First time worn parts.... second time rope to short...... 3 time....scissors wrong place And now something else. John ( Neptune ) send me a PM about they stay's...... Why I did them first instead of the shrouds. Normally I'm not out of words but this time....... Stupid me !!!!!!!!!! First the shrouds and then the stay's !!!!!!!! Beginner !!!!!!!!!! I hope I can put the shrouds under the stay's or I have a BIG problem !!!!!!!!!!!! John, thanks you so much that you let me know what I do wrong !!!!!!!!!!! Sjors

    The next animals are also back on the ship.... The crowfeet are done. Now I have to go to the shrouds and place a few other animals the rat(lines ) Next update can take a while but it will come ( one day ) Sjors

I just love the look of those cables at the moment ! It's a shame to hide that ! @ Sam, I have to come to the city of Angels ?????? Am I allowed to come there ????? Don't forget, I'm still working and have only 3 weeks vacation instead of a whole year ! When we are coming to the USA I have to take a round trip now ......     @ Sam, That is not the problem. The rope is very long and because I have to fix it before I cut the length is it impossible to let it turn with the crank. When I take short pieces of rope there is to much that I have to trow away and I find that a shame of the rope. But thanks for thinking with me @ Ulises, You give a nice , sunday morning job.....but it is not working for me ! I tried everything and nothing worked. So my stay's don't get serving but only seizing..... The rope is not that bad to look at it. For the rest....happy Eastern and don't eat to much eggs !!!!!!! Sjors

    There am I again. I have tried serving the rope for the stay's but that's not possible....... Because there are a few ropes that turn in each other. I have the difficulty that when I put the rope into the machine, the rope will not turn when I use the crank. I put the rope taut. I'm afraid that I damage the rope when I continue. And it looks just great. So I think I will have stay's which are not served. Sjors

    Thanks Ulises ! You give a very nice example ! So I will do it that way. And yes, also the mouse get his/her rope...... The rope is coming from Morope in Germany. I only have to secure the end of the rope with glue. I try a little bit and it works great ! I hope I can start on sunday.( or Anja has to be other plans for that day....) Sjors

    Today I received my last rope that I needed for the rigging. Nope, I'm not starting right away !!!!!!!! I have a question for all of you. At the end of the post you will see a picture of the rope that I'm gonna use for the fore and preventer stay. I know that those stay's has to be served. But........it's almost a shame to hide that nice figure rope under n other ,thinner rope. So my question is.....can I just leave it as it is ? No served stays. Or is that the same as starting an ice company at the North pole....... I will served the shrouds what is needed. I will wait for all your fine answers....... Sjors
