1/48 Italeri Hawk T.1A (On Hold)
Old Collingwood replied to Old Collingwood's topic in Non-ship/categorised builds
It has a Image stabilizer on the lens with Two settings - One is a basic version for static objects and the other one is called Sport Mode, thats designed for moving subjects, both give about 4 stops of stabilizing, but I use high enough shutter speeds with things like that - normaly over 1/1000sec generaly higher, no need for a monopod or tripod also its all about mustle memory like firing a rifle. OC. -
Sorry the above should have said note - its ammended now. OC.

Not for me mate guess they are a bit like Marmite you either love or hate. OC. -
So, these KGL are nearly finished but next I want to try to make some up in a few better firing positions - problem is the sprues only come in Two positions, so a possible fix is to pinch some of the Victrix and Perry arms from the Line Infantry and sand down thier buttoned cuffs and just paint on the Black half diamond cuffs after. Why the companies have not made more plastic/resin 95th Rifles/KGL lights I will never know - they are available in Diecast but I dont like the detail in them - much preffer working with plastic. OC.

Well they bettery pull there fingeres out when I build the farm - there will be no sloppyness then - better keep the place tidy - fill in any holes in wall from canon balls I will demand the send down some polyfilla and white wash - I will call a cease fire for half an hour to tidy up the place - that will of course include any grass mowing than needs doing oh........and all them weeds they need pulling. About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
