  1. Evening all. more progress - Three hours on the bench but what seems like next to nothing done just a few tiny fittings. OC.
  2. Just an update folks - I received a message on another forum about this build, it was from the son of a gentkeman who served on The Ole Girl, anyway he expressed how much he loved it so I passed it on with my blessing to him. OC.
  3. Yep! thats a good enough place to do you modeling apart from the sand getting in your build.......😄 OC.

So it starts - first was the belly addional armour plate to help defend against IED's, this has to be bent slightly at the front to follow the slope of the bottom, this was then glued down, next came the Two sides - these simply followed some lugs and glued, then the rear plate was glued in place. Next will be all the Thousands of parts including some PE to go on the back plate. OC.

  10. Just dug the instruction manual out the box............😲 its like a library in a manual - but very well laid out and written, looks like my sub builds with it should work starting with the bottom tub. OC.
  11. Blimey mate, busy busy - your going to need a bigger build area. OC.
  12. Think I can start this regardless of the rain - I could build the sub-assemblies like the bottom tub with all its bits and pieces, the top hull and turret, I will then be able to support them from underneath to prime/paint them, then attach them when thoroughly dry. OC.
  13. Another interesting build my friend, I have Two experiences of the type as the Beetle - a friend used to have a modified "Boy Racer" type, and earlier than that a schoolboy friends farther used to own a stock one with no mods, very quirky cars. OC.
  14. Tell me about it, I should have invested in some of that there waterproof paint😀 but the lamp is perfic, so I guess I could do some more figures - can't have enough figures. OC.
