  1. Evening all,    abit more progress with the lads,    I did my normal shading on the faces and hands  - basically just using the wash from a brush and runing it over so it settles in the details (between the fingers - side of nose - frown lines - around mouth)   then it was  time to paint the trousers in thier London Grey, I finished off tonights painting  by painting wood parts of the rifles -delicate work  - next off will be the  metal parts including the bayonets.

    Looking good OC !

Are they the Perry or the Victrix miniatures?

Thank you kindly Edward,   these Five are the Victrix ones - I have both types  - there are subtle differences between them  like the victrix ones have full backs with straps, the perry ones have cut outs on the backs to take the back packs, so by mixing them I can show some wearing the backpacks and some without.

  3. Evening all , I managed  pull myself back down to earth  and back on my figures,   I have been painting  the heads touching in thier sideburns, then the Shako's   with thier plates and braides, then the Blue colours on there lapels and cuffs, I also  painted the haversacks  and straps in the sand colour  - slowly getting there.

I never learned to play the piano......could have been cool,  I suppose.  I do have a couple of music creator programs for the computer......haven't messed with them in quite some time either........the playbacks were too scary  ;)

You will have to have a go Denis.

  5. I used to own this  Ibanez SR   I had a small practice amp and used to practice in the room  with phones on, then when I wanted to record  I would hook the amp up to my laptop and  use one of my instrument recording apps like Reaper, then  adjust to tast in Wavepad.

My main VST  Virtual synth  is a Fab   Jupiter8  copy, also have a Moog VST   they are brilliant for messing about.

so cool........I'd love to play in a band again......haven't picked up a bass on a few years now :(

I tried the bass  some years a go   also tried the sax  but learning it in the house  - well you can imagine the noise  our  dog back then was no too impressed,   a digital synth  is a lot easier.
