  4. good evening everyone thank you for comments and likes P&S foremast lower ratlines well most of the rats are in now (foremast lower), another 5 to go plus remove one or two that look worse than the rest, im still not 100% sure the white and brass is doing it for me, it needs a dark backdrop to stop it looking like every 6th line is missing
  5. good evening everyone was hoping for a better update tonight, BUT all yesterdays work was wrong so had a redo today i have severel things in life to remember who am i where do i live wife birthday and how to tie Ratlines i forgot one of the above and it wasnt any of the first three anyway here is the redo, still not brilliant, and yet again another big variation away from the real vessel
  6. So glad I found this build, wonderful work, puts my kits to shame
  7. Stunning work, going to be so impressive when complete, if this can ever be said to be finished, there is always more that can be added
  8. good evening everyone thank you everyone for comments and likes Main mast shrouds upper and lower been a great couple days, and just fell back into the build routine, having left a list of what I was doing and what was planned to do next save a lot of messing around most of the back stays are also in just another 3 to do both side, then i will have to think about making up the mizzen
  9. good evening everyone well the scratch for a non ship build has been scratched a lot of members (well one) was hoping i would just continue with the SD14 but i do miss the wood and string, and as i will be purchasing the Vanguard Models HMS Indefatigable, i thought i would pick up where i left of last October/November time on the AV so the shrouds for the main mast lower are now complete,, i then put in the main back stays before realising i need to do the upper shrouds on the main mast, what a great way to waste a couple of hours

  13. a whole cargo load of inspiration would not go amiss
  14. good evening everyone Thank you for comments and likes will be glad to get this out of the way, the trailer still needs another sand down re-prime and top coat, at least my itch for wanting to do something different has been scratched do i go back to the SD14 or back to wood and get the Amerigo Vespucci further along
  15. good evening everyone thank you for comments and likes still working on this project, But just wish i had taken a week off and done something away from the mancave, it would have saved me enough to pay the postage for @chris watton HMS Indefatigable, nothing wrong with the kit at all, i loved putting it together, and it is so well engineered, it is just the painting anyway, lets at least finish something so here are a few outside shots taken tonight, dont look so bad in the distance, Oh and the wife loves it as for yesterday please do not mention mum visits and her blocking the Macerator
  16. it has served a purpose, just a reminder that i need every few months that im rubbish at modelling and worse at painting
