For the most part on Thanksgiving - I Ate!, however, I did manage to get a few things done in the shipyard...somehow???? I finished the remaining Bowsprit items, bowsprit net, furling stops and footropes. This completes the Bowsprit Rigging. I still need a couple of downhauls on the stays yet before moving on to the braces. Details on my website.

All of the rigging except The Braces have been completed. This is the last of the rigging, then the Cutting Stage and adding and lashing the boats to finish her up. Gotta' go to Mexico for 2 weeks for some dental work so that'll give me some time to catch up and get organized...such a concept!! Details for this last work is on my website for anyone interested.

She looks real nice all fitted out John.  Been doing some browsing and I'm wondering if Proxxon makes a 4-jaw dividing attachment as well as the 3-jaw. Also, I can only find a set of 3 milling cutters that will fit the mill. The 1.0, 2.0, and the 3.0. Do they make larger bits for my machine?  BTW, that other order will be placed Thursday.

Hi George, I don't recall a 4 jaw, and the mills come in sets, 2-5 mm, and 6-10 mm #24610, 24620. It might require a drill chuck like 24110, I'll have to check the threads.

The shank diameter was what I was concerned with.  The drill-chuck or the collet set has a max of 1/8" or 3.2 mm. But we'll have time to sort it out.  Just the mill and vice will be for Dec.

With just the boats to place on board the end is most definitely in sight, very well done mate.

Hi Tony, thanks for the support. I still have the Braces to run to finish the rigging, but that shouldn't take too long. I expect to be finished by the end of Dec. I have to take off 2 weeks for Dental work in Mexico. I'm not sure what will be next, I don't have room for much. I'd like to do the Niagra but it might be too big....still thinking.

Hello, I'm back in the shipyard. I should get started on the Braces tonight. My Christmas gift to myself is a camera that can take Macro close up pictures. Somewhat late for this project, but - who knows? I'm posting a picture of the Foremast and yard to see how it works and if the resolution is correct for this format.

Hello J T, it's a Nikon s9900 - about 10,000 times smarter than I am, so I have a learning curve to go through. I'm eventually going to get caught up as I am very behind having to leave again for 2 weeks, but I'm back now and ready to go. Thanks for stopping by.

Real nice pic John. Really shows off that detail.  Don't be too intimidated with the latest technology. It's still just a camera, and unless you're into professional photography, a lot of that new stuff, you won't have to mess with.

Hi George, yeah, I'm used to cameras with lots of functions, but this is only my second Nikon, so the symbols are different...just a slight learning curve. Like you say, most of this stuff I won't ever use. I never learned all the functions of my last one, but I did get 14 years out of it, and if I hadn't loaned it to a guy it would probably still be ok.

Managed to finish all the Halyards and Downhauls. Time to move to the Braces. Here's a picture or two, gets hard to distinguish what's what with all the lines running. Gets tight for clumbsy fingers.
