A small update for you, and I apologise for the dusty model. I need to do a blast over with some canned air.

The tiller is now fitted to the rudder and then rigged to the wheel using a series of 3mm single blocks. A lot easier than it looks.

The strops and deadeyes are now completed and secured to the channels with chainplate linkages.

Then onto the boomkins which are rigged down to eyelets on the prow.

Harpy will now be supplied with TWO boats. An 18' cutter will hang off the stern and this new 22' cutter will now sit on the deck.

She's looking very, very pretty.

Lastly, the bowsprit. I'm now currently on masts, but that's for another update!

Very nice indeed Jim

There will be a copper PE option for Harpy, as I have just been told my copper PE order is ready. This includes the copper plates plus a special sheet for the rudder, as shown. For the finished kit version, the treenail count on the outer bulwarks will be doubled.

Jim is doing a very nice job!

That does look fantastic Jim, I'm going to have to evict one of the kids to make room for more shelves! 😆

Just one?

Being an empty nester doesn’t make it any easier. Nothing gets by my admiral! Don’t know how I will sneak this one in. Mind you that jolly chap in the red outfit might help🎅

Cheers

This is likely to be my penultimate update as the next one should show this rigged and finished. That'll be a nice way to conclude this, so until this, these are a few photos of Harpy's masting, including some photos of the yards, gaff, boom, spritsail yard and the completed bowsprit. I've concluded this with a photo of Harpy as she currently looks. No text is really needed for this as the photos are self-explanatory and perfectly follow the convention you've seen in other VM build logs. Hope you like the results so far.

As there's nothing really interesting in showing shroud lines etc. added, I'll now wrap up this log by showing you some photos of the completed model. Watch out for this on pre-order very soon.

In all, this is a highly detailed and very friendly model to build. Definitely in terms of hull shape and rig accessibility whilst on the bench. We're absolutely confident that you'll enjoy building this gorgeous ship and you putting your own stamp on her.
