Not a great deal of progress, but some gratuitous sea side pictures today.

I have ordered some replacement rigging materials from Chuck and will be replacing the running rigging and, quite possibly, much of the standing rigging when it comes in.

Very nice Wayne,

The view and the ship.

A hint for the next time…try to make a picture that way that you don't see the standard…..

It looks then if she is in the water  ^_^

Avast mates.  She's too close to shore!

Thank goodness the tide was high!  She cleared the bar safely and has now returned to her drydock.

I just have to say - I am sitting at a very slow point with my current projects.  A material shortage is holding them so it is picking this and that and scavenging for activities to move them forward.  This thread springing back to life and the great pictures of the HL is reminding me I have one sitting in the closet that I could.... well...

See wayne, look what you did!!  :oB):D

you have the sea side.........if I did,  I'd flaunt it too  :)   the admiral and I daydream about moving out toward Hampton.....or even Rye,  or Wallace sands.   since she became disabled,  we never go to Hampton Beach anymore.......I really miss the seafood festival.

don't do it Adam.........the last thing I want to see,  is a picture of you holding a box with nothing but brass and plastic in it :o............but,  if your intention was to build it......well,  that's OK  :)

Not much of an update, but progress continues.  i completed the new jib boom (and repaired a damaged top mast).  Received the new rigging materials from Chuck yesterday so have re-done the fore stays on the foremast and the bowsprit & jib boom shrouds.  I like this line - much easier in many ways to work with than the synthetic material.  Next up is the main mast - need to re-do the gaff rigging first, then will step it and install the shrouds and backstays.

Photos of the new nose tonight (i hope!)

Still plugging along!  Re-doing the catheads - the first attempt just didn't quite look right.

Here is the first attempt from back in May.  Too square, doesn't really look right.

In progress

First results

Decided to try and do them out of single pieces of stock, so using some left over from the cabin structure to carve them out.

Some more sanding and shaping then need to drill the openings for the fake sheaves and re-rig them for the anchor.
