HI ben Thanks for your kind remarks.....

Hello Anja and Thank you very much for your kindness....

Those frames look terrific, Mario. Your system is working well.

Greg

Oh glad to see you stop by Greg,

Your remarks Have calmed my worries. This is all be new to me, I am now glad that am going in the right direction. The only thing I had wrong was the dimensions of the floor early on in the build, but after you straighten me out all has been well. I am going to finish up frames 4 n 5 tonight and hopefully raising them by this weekend.

But I am now in the market trying to locate 1:48 scale figures for the model which for that era me thinks would be around 36mm....

THANKS AGAIN GREG....

Thank You all...

Tim , Rusty,

Thanks guys for your kind remarks and onward i go....

Well frames 4 n 5 are completed. I builT the square from a display type board material, the type which is used for science projects in school.....

I added 1/16" spaced horizonel lines to assist me in keeping the port n starboard sides of the frames level with the horizon..

"SWEETIN BULLETS TIME NOW.....

once the DEAD FLAT "0" was glued in place I went ahead and temporarly placed DEAD FLAT "01" and FRAME 01 FORE so I could mark out the locations for the 2 scores of the port n starboard sweep port sills.....

I pulled all measurements from the DISPOSITION OF FRAME drawing which I glues to a scrap piece of display board so i could stand it on end and adjust my measuring tool accordingly....

I will then remove frame "01" fore and the dead flat "01". then use my chisel to create the scores.....

ALL I CAN SAY FROM HERE ON IS """"I HOPE I KNOW WHAT I'M DOING!!!! and I HOPE I AM DOING IT RIGHT!!!""""

ALL ADVICE IS VERY MUCH WELCOMED......

   Hi John,

I'm gathering that maybe you see i placed 4 frames at once. It's just my way of thinking about how to approach marking out all the scores Chief. I am in no hurry. So here is my explaination Chief, I was just tired last night and forgot to add how I cam about doing what I did....

I SHOULD OF EXPLAINED MYSELF BETTER AS TO WHY I TEMPORALY ADDED 4 FRAMES INSTEAD OF ONE AT A TIME. MY APOLOGIES FOR THIS. MY DAD WAS A MASONARY AND I WAS HIS APRENTICE. I WAS TAUGHT TO GET THE ENDS CORRECT FIRST AND EVERYTHING ELSE IN BETWEN WILL FALL INTO PLACE. GET THE ENDS RIGHT AND YOU HAVE A TRUE LINE LEVEL.....

Hi Bob,

Minor setback. I just completed the scores on frame 3aft, you know the one with the real fancy toptimber. Had it in my hand, did not notice I left the drawer open on my workbench, swung around and snap!!! Ahh! is all that came out of me, and then OH WELL, Doris Day"que sera sera"(whatever will be will be). remember that song? well back to the building of a frame tonight....

can't take this hobby serious. If I did then I would be stressed and that is the reason i took up my modeling building hobby again. to get away from stress!!!

Thanks Rusty, and after this I still have a good attitude about it.

MODEL AGAINST THE CAT AND CAT WON. MOST LIKELY THE CAT KNOCKED OVER THE BUILDBOARD. ME THINKS THE MODEL HIT THE GROUND FIRST AND THE WEIGHT OF THE BOARD CAME AFTER. SO TOTAL DESTRUCTION. NO SURVIVORS. OH WELL IT HAPPENS...

DO I HAVE PLANS TO START OVER AGAIN...........YES.......BUT NOT ANYTIME SOON. JUST DON'T WANT TO RIGHT NOW. IT WILL PROBABLY BE A LONG WHILE BEFORE THAT HAPPENS.

AM I P#*$$!& ABOUT IT...........NO, NOT IN ANYWAY, I WAS TOLD ONCE IT'S ONLY WOOD. HAHA!........WE ALSO HAVE 3 PARAKEETS IN THE HOUSE. IM GLAD WHEN THE CAT SNUCK IN SHE CHOSE TO SCREW WITH MY MODEL INSTEAD. THOSE PARAKEETS BELONG TO OUR 3 LITTLE ONES AND THEY WOULD OF BEEN HEART BROKEN. BETTER ME THEN THEM....

SO I AM GOING TO WALK AWAY FROM MODELS A BIT AND IMPROVE ON MY BOWLING AVERAGE NOW...
