Here's my first ratlines using a copy of the plan sheet as a template, worked out to be an easy way to do it.I used .25 black thread they say to use natural thread and indian ink a bit messy you would think. They sell the black thread so don't know why they did'nt put it in the kit.One section done seven to go and this has only two masts.

Way to go, Ron!  That background really comes in handy for they eyes, doesn't it?  I like the bit of swag you have in each one and I'm really glad you're getting that overall tension right so as not to pull the shrouds together halfway up.

WELL DONE!!!!!!

Ron,

Great looking ratlines.  It's tedious and time-consuming but they add so much to build when done right.  Yours are done very right!!!

Excellent work Ron. I've seen some get an "hour glass" effect on the shrouds when the ratlines are added. Your clamping and template method have clearly served to avoid that.

I just finished my anchors, so that's out of the way. I  haven't finished tying off the lines yet because I'm having some eye problems ( don't want to cut the wrong ropes :D  :D ) Have a good one!!

Good work - Ron. Must be pleased to get that all out the way - must make you feel the rest will be easy. Well done. Mine's is just a tangle of thread at the moment and it is hard to see that it will change to anything else.

That silhouette shot is great - a fantastic idea for photographing rigging which I haven't seen here before. Not only good rigging but brilliant presentation.
