It is going on with the topmast yards of the mizen mast.

First the clamping screws of the yards had to be wraped round

with cloth tape. Then there were necessary lots of thimbles and

rings.

And it's going on with some updates.

After a few failed attempts, I succeeded with a usable rope ladder. On the side-ropes there are fixed small metal rods (0,3mm diameter).

post-1171-0-86151500-1425162658_thumb.jpg

The rope ladder is fixed at the upper part of the mast. In the middle the ladder is additionally fixed at the white spreader.

and on we go ...

There have to be produced lots of small parts that still have to be put on deck and at the mast before they can be fixed. Therefore, here's a snippet of medley.

First of the parts in shell construction:

post-1171-0-83306400-1437945478_thumb.jpg

then ever with a little color, up some metal bracket with belaying pins, other belaying pins for expanding the betings, additional bollards, rings ...

post-1171-0-89625800-1437945486_thumb.jpg

... Then thimbles in div. Sizes (these are just a few of the many hundreds of other), clamping screws of various sizes, Cross Bollard, some pulleys and various cleats ...

post-1171-0-04539800-1437945494_thumb.jpg

... More small cleats, several additional lamps, brackets, ...

And again a few small parts ...

It had to make an enormous amount of these parts. Is all very unimpressive distributed on the deck, so here are just a few examples.

First of even the turnbuckles for shrouds the lower masts. First, as individual parts, assembled and some pictures from growing on the hull.

again some blocks ...

post-1171-0-96850400-1437946381_thumb.jpg

In the next picture are top of the bulwark some cleats attached (the smallest of which just 2mm long), before small lamps and down several bollards.

On the left side of the bulwark seen some roles and cleats including where the backstays are attached.

Joachim,

Nice update. Your quality of work is beyond spectacular. Your ship is becoming amazing. This A V is so complicated, especially with the mix of old wood and new metals--such beautiful detailing you are accomplishing here in this log. Really enjoying following along.

Meanwhile, are mounted on the deck and on the masts blocks of different shapes and sizes. I have hundreds of rings, eyelets and grommets made, painted and mounted in a variety of sizes. Even some small turnbuckles, hooks and various other very inconspicuous parts have now found their place.

Now we start the standing rigging with a rope ladder along the mizzen mast, starting from the deck.

The rope ladder is made by the same technique as with the rope ladders of top masts. The ladder is attached on the starboard side of the mizzen mast.

Now even an intermediate level of the standing rigging on the foremast. Except for the backstays all shrouds and forestay are now attached.

All ropes of standing rigging of the AV are made of steel and are usually painted black. Some of the larger stays are partially painted in white.

The pictures are me, not so particularly successful, but the essence will probably be seen anyway. I guess if I have a reasonable intermediate level with the entire standing rigging, I'll probably bring everything into the photo studio of my wife and then there's a few better shots.

And now we continue with the lower shrouds on the foremast.

On the AV every 5th ratline is a metal rod. Also metal rods are attached to the clamping screws. As an aid for positioning the ratlines I have behind provisionally fixed with a printed ratlines paper.

Next, the lower futtocks. There are four leashes, two of which are interconnected by metal rods, For better grip when aloft serve 4 tethers.
