  1. Welcome to the best, busiest and most helpful model ship site around. Loads of knowledge, content and friendly souls here to share your work with and learn along with the rest of us.
  2. I would make sure your parts are thoroughly degreased before blackening them. A good way to do that is to wash them in acetone or ethanol etc. That 'might' be your issue.
  3. To continue the conversation about piracy, check out our section on this subject, and take part in the conversation and initiative:
  4. The red looks ok to me. Easy enough to change though if you think otherwise.
  5. It's all just common sense. Look at the thickness of stern post and asses that against first planking while you sand...taking into account the thickness of the pear.
  6. Please keep this forum area for site issues only, as clearly stated. Topic locked.

  9. As long as the keel at the sternpost area is around 1mm-2mm, you can always sand down the pear so it's flush (or doesn't step) with the 3mm sternpost/rudder post. If the stern was left at 3mm before second planking, then your sand away the pear at the stern to make things level. I know most of this area is coppered, but it's good practice to thin it beforehand.

  13. Slow and steady is sure working. That is looking real neat.
  14. Outstanding!! I'm following this topic
  15. Thanks for the info. What would be interesting is the last recorded date of images rotating. That might not be so easy to get, but I'm pretty sure it's not since we switched to v.4, although some clarification would be useful.
  16. Something I found but knew nothing about is this: This would, in theory, mean that the images will have rotated around the time they were originally uploaded, and certainly not just recently as there have been no revisions to the software that would make such a change, and this seems to be an isolated case. I edited the first page of your log to correct, so all I can think of is that these will need to be manually altered and re-inserted into your posts.
  17. Please don't apologise, this is why this forum area exists. So far, we've had no other instances of photos rotating by themselves, so it's quite odd. Can you send me a specific link?
  18. By my reckoning, around 620mm long.
  19. That's not the case at all. The gallery module, and also the forum itself, hasn't had an update now in a few months as we are currently operating the latest version. There have been some custom CSS mods made, but only to the new theme, and for controlling global font size.
