  1. Hi there Eamonn,

Your Ballahoo is coming along terrifically and the fittings look great, but I have to say that this

... the shape was achieved by placing some sand-paper onto the deck directly over where the Hatch will end up and working the Hatch fore and aft in short strokes along the sand-paper, after a very short time you will sand the particular Deck Camber at that point into the bottom of the Grating/Hatch.

was just plain clever!   Thank you for a big tip!

  2. Wow JesseLee!

You are a great modeller, but not so good at following Doctor's orders I think  :P

Your fixing/improving on the parts is amazing, but even more impressive considering the challenges you are under at the best of times, let alone after surgery!!!  I particularly like the ingenious little bell haha.

But I do echo your other friends here and ask that you please don't do too much and let yourself heal as much possible.  Doctor's do know best!!  Besides, we would hate to lose you for longer :)

  3. Hi Bindy,  we missed you, happy you stopped in.  Thanks for the kind words.

Speaking of photography, who does your avatars?  I photograph mostly birds and landscapes and I almost never do people.  In the time since I have been looking in you have had at least 4 avatars.  All interesting composition and lighting, of course a good subject always helps.  The new one is great.

Naww ty Jack!   I have no doubt you would be an amazing people Photographer as well and have to admit I went through your whole gallery looking for you capturing the spark and soul and life and stories of people in a single shot (which I think you would to easily with your talent).  Sorry but my avatars are just cropped bits out of mostly iPhone pictures taken by my partner's daughter haha.  She takes some nice photos, but lots and lots and lots are not hahaha

  4. Hi Ulises Victoria,

Thank you for the photos and update.  The perspective really let's me see what you mean, and the details too but I love the way you have tested the different finishes and treatments and that is a great lesson for me!  The bit about slowing down and not rushing things might be a good lesson for me too haha. Nah, who am I kidding? haha

  5. Hi there JesseLee,

Super best wishes for your surgery.  I know you will have a tough for weeks ahead of you (after more than your fair share of tough ones in the past weeks/months) but I believe with all my heart that it will be worth it and your daily life will be more enjoyable after you have healed :)

If you are feeling down during the recovery, please log on to MSW and seeing your friends will surely lift your spirits!

    Best wishes!

  6. The USB Flash Drive, containing all my photos of the build and the complete build log, will be placed into the box and then the construction will be secured to the Display Case floor with brass screws.

Once the model is secured to the base of the display case and the nameplate/USB box is in place I’ll assemble the sides and secure the top.

This will finish my build log.  My next post will be in the “Gallery of COMPLETED Kit-Built Ship Models” with the finished display case.

    What an incredibly good idea!

And your ship looks just perfect in the display case.  Congrats again on a magnificent build!

  7. Although, as I shalt soon be making the long-awaited residential adjustment (just signed the lease), the next update may take a bit of time.

    Pics soon ...

Excuse me, but would you mind cancelling your house move and continue building your Bounty Launch?

I think it is just a little selfish of you considering I was enjoying reading your log so much but I guess I can be patient if you think your whole life is more important than entertaining me ...

(All the best with your move!)

  8. Hi Nenad,

i was so sad to read of the problems in your part of the world, but very happy to read you are safe and well yourself.  I don't think we realise how lucky we are until we look up and see the problems other people are facing :(

My very best wishes to you, your family and friends and the people in your area and Country.

    Stay safe!
