Hi Brian: Your Smuggler Hull looks great! It looks like you got the waterline perfect with no bleed through and tearouts. I also like the color choices, they seem spot on. What references did you use for the color differentiation on the deck? It is very interesting.

Hi JD: I'm so glad that the NRG changed its format of organization of bold logs or I might have missed your build. We have followed a similar path. I sailed on the Grace Bailey out of Camden back in the late 90's and also took the Half Hull Class at WBS in the early 2000's also with Eric Dow. I really liked your Half Hull of the Mary Day, she is a beautiful ship.

I really like the use of the laser to set the waterline on your kit. I'm learning alot of terminology and process by following your log. Thank you!!

Hi Roger: I'm really looking forward to this build and the history that accompanies it. Do you know if the Noble was carrying the GN Rail as a deck load on top of the Pulp Wood Load?

I have the old A.J. Fisher Lumber Hooker kit, which looks somewhat similar to the Noble. I will have to pull out the plans, and compare the two vessels.

Check out Maine Windjammer Cruises. I sailed on the Grace Bailey a number of years ago. It was an amazing experience.

Mr. Carr retired over the winter and closed his wonderful hobby shop. I have one of his Fitz kits as well. He had a beautiful build of the kit as you entered his shop. I already miss going up to Duluth and visiting the store

Hi RGL: In the States we refer to them as "the Greatest Generation" I think for good reason. I have never made it to the Pacific battlefields, but have stood on both Utah and Omaha Beaches in France in awe of what they did.

What is your process for etching the armor belts on the hull. At first I thought they were scribed, but they looked raised in your pictures.

That's a great suggestion Chris! I really like Pegasus with the great figurehead, but something always set me back and now I know it was the dark wood. But I'm a few models away from either ships complexity at this point.
