Hello Giorgio. As others have said a stunning build. Looking at all your close up photos I thought it was the full size ship I was looking at. It's only the red "g" clamps and the pencil that gave the game away. Excellent workmanship. Regards Antony. -
Hello Jeff. Looking real nice and you are a fast builder. The kit looks really nice from the pictures you have posted Keep up the good work and plan ahead. Regards Antony.

Hi. Just a update :- The timber in the Hold is now in place. I used Black card to simulate the chulking and will start the treenailing next week. And made the Mast Step. Made up the corner posts for the Pump house and quite happy with my first attempt at cutting a profile Planks are fitted and not glued at this point Nice fit. Also Made the Pump house. and the Shot lockers. Will start on the Ryders next.. Not sure on how I will do this as each set will be different size. Thanks for looking in Regards Antony.

Hello Jeff. Look's like a nice kit. Sounds like a good plan on the sequencing. Keep the decks sealed from dust as you progress upward on the next deck's. Oil and stains collect the dust and it's hard to remove after. ): Will follow this build as I like my cross sections and was looking at this one for the future. Regards Antony.

Shot Locker
AntonyUK replied to AntonyUK's topic in Discussion for a Ship's Deck Furniture, Guns, boats and other Fittings
Hi Dave. Wow that is not what I expected to hear. But it's a statement that's in black and white. A big thanks for posting that information Regards Antony. -
Hi. I am building the HMS Victory @ 1/36 scale at the moment and starting the pumphouse in the Hold. On the frount and rear of the pump house there are shot lockers. They have a lid at the top but no other way of getting the shot out. As far as I can tell. It would be impossible to get the shot out with out some forum of door or hatch. Any help with this would be really helpful. I have the Mc Kay and the Longbridge books. There is no help in the text or photographs. Regards Antony.

Hi. I dont know if you can use the figures below. They are from the game Warhammer and are the Empire troops. Thease are gun crew that come with the guns. They come as parts and you assemble and paint to your army colours. Mixed figures. Another angle. Close up of crew Another closeup of the gun crew. They are 35mm in height and can be curved with a knife. Also the gun loading bits come with the kit as well I will be using some in my 1.36 scale cross section. Regards Antony.

Hi. Almost ready to lay the timber up to the Orlop deck height. But I have a question :- Caulking Is it only the exterior and the weather decks that get caulked on the victory ? Have read through the books that I have and it's inconclusive. So should I simulate caulking on the hold timbers.? Many thanks Antony.

Hi all. Thanks for the welcome. I will stop with a stub mast as the area for the display is max 1 metere square. Might consider doing a drawing of the mainmast and the standing and running rigging if wanted. I will take a photo today for you Yves. And post it tonight. I will continue adding details into my drawings as I progress. The deck plans will be next to be drawn. If I have drawn in any errors then please tell me. No I won't growl at anyone Regards Antony.
