  1. thanks, I've already had the idea of buying an airbrush. This gives better results. But when I started this hobby in the 80's an airbrush was quite a big investment for me. plus that all my military models are built on the kitchen table is also a minus. I can't see myself spraying paint in the same room where we cook and eat. In addition, I'm phasing out my military models (I have a dozen more to build, and that's it) So no need for an airbrush anymore.
  2. So that's how you build your model so fast. Working with subcontractors. cheating 😉 ps, great work
  3. The The 8 x 8 partially painted in green before the final assembly Assembled and ready for painting Painted in the standard 3 color camo All 3 are now ready for finishing Thanks for following, comments and likes
  4. congratulations, a very beautiful model and diorama.
  5. Yes 😉 Nice work on these engines.
  6. If you want to print flags. I liked this technique. you can use the flags in the Excel file, you just have to reduce the size.
  7. Good idea. How you can make all that with paper and cardboard. wow, very impressive
  8. I fully agree. But, the advantage of the MRNS book is that I have a lot of drawings on a scale of 1/100. And it is easy for me to enlarge them to a scale of 1/50. So I'm going to make the sections of MRNS and place them next to the current bulkheads. And then see what makes the most sense. I promesed this build would be a long way to a finished model. I'm doing this well, haha 😇
  9. indeed. From now on, MRNS will be the first source of information to consult.
  10. Spending more and more time on my Mary Rose, a small update. The 6 x 6 is assembled and painted in the camuaflage sceme. The 8 x 8 box opened and started Thanks for following
  11. Testing my suspicion. After enlarging the section drawings from the MRNS book, these sections were all copied separately. A first test clearly shows a difference with the drawings (bulkheads) from the AOTS book. Grrr All these (some of of them expensive) books and in none of them you find the simple mention about the length - width of the hull. So i continue with the keel length and the beam in feet. Length keel 60,... cm and beam 23,... cm. The sections from MRNS seem to match better the 23cm than the bulkheads from AOTS 24.5cm Next plan. Making these extra bulkheads and do a better shaping of the the already made bulkheads. Better to do well now than to have problems later.
  12. Congrats. Very well done. Your attention to detail and the will to do everything right is highly appreciated. 👍 greetings Patrick
