Is this still available to get
Hi the Del Prato kit isn’t but you can get similar kits from Aedes Ars which can provide the base material and similar buildings

Hi to users. I am just sorting out an estate for a friend and there are a number of these books with the "bricks". I'm Just wondering how many books in the full set. I understand how these work and they are not cheap for the whole kit. Thank you. Brian
Hi,
I think there were 100 issues, the one I got was second hand and about 60% complete

Thanks for the kind words have a 3/4s built HMS Surprise I may finish off as got stuck on how to complete the windows. These kits are quite addictive so don’t be too surprised if I dabble here and there over the next few months.

Thanks Ekis with sharing this and inspiring a novice builder to give like me to give a different type of modelling a try. I am sure that this will not be the end given how addictive this is.

Thanks, think the material mesh I am using is tulle, looking forward to seeing how it comes out as my first two went a bit cloudy but that may be as I did some sanding while it was setting

Hard to see from these emails but think I have solved my glazing issue. Sure other people knew about this Glue n glaze product but has been a real revelation. I paint a piece of netting and the wipe a layer of glue across this. initially it is a while colour but as drys it becomes translucent. One happy bunny.

Although already said before but this is museum quality looking forward to the port area as your posts inspire me to keep slogging away with my build

Don't feel alone Waitoa. Many of us have been there at one point or another. In my case two generations! All of mine were eventually consumed by the video game world but I personally enjoyed the painting parties and evenings of game play on the dining table. Our game of choice was Hero Quest and later Advanced Hero Quest that was even better. Both my sons and later my older grandson also got into the armies and such for a short time but I was never all that much into them. I have always preferred the smaller tactical games, whole armies are too impersonal.
I thought I was doing well on keeping current with the Marvel universe and got some street cred as I went to Uni with one of the Directors but getting totalLy lost with this stuff and now have a budding miniature painter who is using all my gear and speaks in a language which is totally foreign to me,

Oh dear, this is a whole new world to me and having to watch YouTube videos at night so I can understand what my son is talking about. I know that he is currently painting Necrons and just glad he is doing something creative rather watching screens all day.

Looking good, also liking the hydra type beast attacking the wall, I think the guards are out of their depth!😁
Is that not right for this period? My son is getting into Warhammer 40k and I am being roped in to help paint and he suggested the inclusion to add some drama

very nice indeed im so glad you are carrying on with it, mine has now gone on the back burner, as my yearning to boat build has come back to me
Thanks, I have a habit of starting things and then putting them on hold, this will be a very slow build and have 3 part built boats I need to finish. One of the positives of the lockdowns is that I have time on my hands that I normally wouldn’t have as used to have to travel within Europe a bit. Just need to deal with the lack of motivation and home schooling.

Trying to plan out the next steps, trying to plan it out the next steps. Will have it in sections like Ekis and want each section to be higher with the church being at the top. Have two house kits to complete and the tower after that it will be scratch building gate house and Manor. Looking at the mid1200s as it allows for the more crowded winding streets.

Hi,
Making slow progress and started to rig the guns that will be visible. Trying to live a more minimalist lifestyle and that doesn’t really work when you like making models and have a number of half finished projects lying about.
Also found when I started this hobby I went for the cheaper end and smaller end of the kit set market. In hindsight with a limited skillset and thick fingers think it will be worth paying a bit more and going up in scale.
